Not so strange, a PH I know was asked for a huge rhino from a client. He went to an auction, bought the right size rhino and shot it for the client.

I can tell you another, two clients book a safari, and show up with two young girls, obviously not their wives.
They ask the outfitter to be fed and provided with large quantities of alcohol, and not to be bothered with hunting. The two PH´s went on their own to hunt, and brought back the animals to camp to take the necessary pics, as those guys had to prove to their wives they were actually hunting.
The PH who told me the story was happy to be paid to hunt on his own

I´m sure that must be a recurrent story, but in this case the PH is over 40 and quite a religious person, (always had a bible in the bakkie, never drunk a drop of alcohol) and he certainly did not approve the behavior of his clients.
But was glad of the hunting opportunity.
