I decided to post this in this section as I really wasn't sure where else to post it. @BRICKBURN or @AfricaHunting.com if you think it belongs somewhere else, please by all means redirect the thread there.

With each passing day now, I look forward to the end of the brutal heat here in Phoenix and......the start of my archery bull elk hunt in less than two weeks! So off my buddy and I go yesterday to get our camp setup. Kevin has a friend that offered to loan us her camper if we were willing to go move it from its summertime locale. Are you kidding? We're all over it. So off we go and get it and take it to our spot. Well actually it was an alternative spot as our first was already occupied. Well I'm actually glad we went to the alternative spot, but it was maddening at the same time.

Maddening because when we got there, this is what we found:

This was the crap left behind by some weekend campers sometime I'm guess in the las couple of weeks. Labels on the booze bottles were almost like new and wouldn't stay that way for long with the rain. This mess was about 30-40 yards from where we were setting up and it wasn't ours, but we cleaned it up anyway. I don't post this in an effort to pat myself on the back or anything like that. But I do hope that someone who is on the fence about hunting may see this and give hunters credit for caring about the environment.

If some such person sees this, we really did clean it up.....

Hope you get a great bull Phil.

Good for you ! Good luck on the hunt .

Karma's on your side.

Not sure of that. Cleaning up the mess was the last thing we did before heading about a 1/2 mile from there to where one of our trail cameras was setup. Some good pics, one of a decent sized black bear too. Feeling good we then headed over a mile or so away to another trail camera. Got there to find some jerk stole it, cut through two locks to get it too.....not very happy about that. Needless to say we went back to the other camera and took it down.

I'm going to just pretend the troll didn't post, he will be gone soon. With that out of the way, I never understood how people can go and be a part of nature, and lose so much reverence for it. Given the alcohol choices shown in the picture my bet would be on early 20-somethings being responsible for the mess. Thank you for being a part of the solution Phil, you're a true conversationalist and I for one appreciate the effort greatly. A glass raised to you my friend :D Cheers:

Good job Bill, all us hunters are proud of keeping the enviroment clean.

Good for you, Phil....need all the positives we hunters can get these days....good luck on the elk....my son and I headed into Colorado for 1st rifle season in October.
What part of Colorado are you going to hunt?

The one I put up on the water hole in Moz was still there when I left.

Sad news Phil.

Wayne, didn't get any elephant on trail cam...Tjoppa, said a few pics of the small critters, will give you update when I am back.

Phil, my first 5 trail cam pics, were poachers on their bicycles, just getting dark...the flash went off, I have never seen such a shocked look on peoples faces..they left their bicycles right there and took off.

What a shame you couldn't have added some firecrackers to that, then you would have really gotten a look!!!! :A Outta:

Royal, the white flash was enough witch doctor medicine...

It's got a huge card and plenty of battery life. It will be interesting to see what it picks up.

Phil, you deserve that big bull :A Clapping:

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
