Darwin strikes another blow to keep the Gene Pool clean.

Have to wonder how Joe Biden made it.

Liberal Democrats are like cockroaches. They multiply exponentially, and you just can't get rid of them.

Gator Kills Texas Man: Body Parts Of Man Killed Found Inside Alligator Shot Dead By Hunter

Days after a gator kills a Texas man at a marina, the same animal was killed himself by another gunman. State investigators confirm the same alligator that killed 28-year-old Tommie Woodward last week at Adam’s Bayou, in Orange, is the same one that wound up dead on Monday.

Body parts of Woodward were discovered inside the dead alligator’s throat, according to officials with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Click 2 Houston reports that the reptile was shot at a different location than where it killed Woodward, before its body back where the tragedy took place.

Wildlife officials say that an unidentified gunman shot the gator in the head with a large caliber firearm prior to removing it and leaving at Adam’s Bayou. Game wardens have been keeping an eye out for the gator that killed the Texas man since the tragic incident. Woodward ignored warning signs about not swimming in the area, but he disregarded them. He was reportedly taking a late-night swim when he lost his life.

Game wardens are investigating the alligator’s death, calling it “illegal harvesting of wildlife.”

12 News reports that killing an alligator is a Class C misdemeanor, with a fine up to $500.

The report further states that a group of men claim they trapped the gator, and shot him, and left him on the deck. The men who shot the gator that killed the Texas man were gone by the time game wardens arrived. One unidentified man, however, has turned himself in and wants to talk with police about shooting the alligator.

Harlan Hatcher, a nuisance control hunter, was called to the scene. He had the help of Orange firefighters and game wardens to get the gator inside the truck. Hatcher cut open the alligator and found Woodward’s remains, thereby confirming it was the one that killed Tommie Woodward by dragging him in the water and drowning him. Woodward’s body parts are being sent — along with the rest of his body — back to St. Louis, Missouri, where his family lives.

Hatcher explains that it’s never a good idea to feed alligators because it makes them a threat and they have no fear of humans.

Many are arguing that the gator that killed the Texas man was just doing what alligators do, and that Woodward defied warnings about not swimming in the marina where a prevalent threat of alligators was posted.

Sorry for the family, but this guy.........Alcohol if a factor really makes good people stupid.

this guy was probably pretty stupid to begin with. I enjoy drinking but have never considered swimming with gators regardless of how drunk I was.

The guy got what he deserved....if you do something deadly stupid, you pay the ultimate price.

Live in southwest Louisiana and see them all the time. Fishing in the bayous and the marshes they are everywhere, have caught them with a fishing pole. They will play with it until they get tired and snap your line. I've never seen on that was overly aggressive towards the boat. We have skied on the river and see them, not aggressive. Many reports of dogs going missing off docks where they feed them. This boils down to respect. Those who don't hunt or that are not brought up in the country and don't have respect for mother nature pay the price. Sorry that it took his death to figure this one out. Reading it's fundamental.

A man who apparently mocked alligators, then jumped in the water -- despite warning signs -- is dead after being attacked in Texas.

Orange County Police were called to Burkart's Marina near the Louisiana state line early Friday morning after reports that Tommie Woodward, 28, and an unidentified woman were swimming in a bayou and had been attacked by a large alligator.

Woodward's body was found several hours later. The woman was not injured.

An alligator lurks in the bayou off Burkart's Marina

Orange County Justice of the Peace Rodney Price told CNN affiliate KFDM that Woodward ignored verbal warnings and a posted "No Swimming Alligators" sign and seemed to mock the deadly creatures before going in the water.

"He removed his shirt, removed his billfold ... someone shouted a warning and he said 'blank the alligators' and jumped in to the water and almost immediately yelled for help," Price said.

The "No Swimming Alligators" sign was posted this week after a 10-foot alligator was spotted in the bayou waters.

Witness heard 'An alligator's got him'
"Please do not go swimming, there's a bigger alligator out here. Just please stay out of the water," witness and marina employee Michelle Wright said she told Woodward.

She said the next thing she heard was the woman screaming, "An alligator's got him." Wright said she used a flashlight in the darkness to scan the water.

In an emotional interview with KFDM, Wright said, "I saw his body floating face down. And then he's out there for a couple of seconds and then he's dragged back down. And then he comes back up still face down and then he gets pulled down again. And then he just disappears."

Wright, who said she knew the victim and his family, said it was a moment she would never forget. She described the events that started out as a late night swim as "heartbreaking."

Woodward had recently moved to the area from St. Louis with his twin brother and was working at a nearby shipyard.

'If the sun is down, stay out of the water'
Alligators are predatory and territorial. According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, the creature "will eat anything it can catch," and should be treated with caution.

"If the sun is down, stay out the water. That's when they're eating. That's when they're hunting," alligator expert Arlie Hammonds told the affiliate.

Although there have been numerous fatal alligator attacks in Florida, the Orange County attack may be the first of its kind in Texas.

CNN's Dave Alsup, Jeremy Grisham and Carma Hassan contributed to this report
