I am fortunate to hunt through personal friends of mine who have hunted different African countries for many years (30 to 40). And who have developed close friendships with the people of those countries. And yes....they are men. It is these two gentlemen that I trust, even with my life. If they have a female PH they recommend I hunt through, then a hunting we will go. It all boils down to a cost/benefit analysis and the risk someone is willing to take. You can only warn people. But then, I've taken to jumping out of planes. With a parachute of course.

Most people assume that photographic tourism protects and pays for wildlife. Takeri Private Reserve would not be there without hunting ....and neither would all our wildlife! Over the past five years we have had all the little game come back. honey badgers, porcupine, blue duiker etc.. and go out 5 km away from the area we protect and you would be lucky to find a frog!
