New Leopard… Taxidermy

Great stuff, I bet that's your phone ringing in the back ground. Your work is fantastic.

I bet most taxidermists would simply have called their client and said "ruined - where do you want me to dispose of this? " Glad you knew what to do and cared enough to do it. Thanks for the pics.

Dennis,
Unbelievable what you have done with the rags you had to work with!
I would bet a years wages that if my hides showed up in that condition I would be on a plane back to Africa to give somebody a good old fashioned John Wayne style ass beating!
Regards,
Cody

Awesome work with those mounts - considering what you had to work with they a simply magnificent!

Great work , next time I need somthing stuffed ;) I'll be sending it your way!

This IS what I do Guys and Gals. I once worked for Animal Artistry in Reno and had a nickname The Garbage man.
I was told before I came to work there they would throw out garbage bags full of unmountable skins till I started to use my talents to save a lot of client memories. It's just something I can do after 40 years of seeing everything imaginable on my bench. I would do this for any of you and save anything that is even remotely mountable into very nice pieces. Sometimes we have a limited number of ways to mount damaged skins but I have NEVER had to tell a client we CAN'T save your mount ! Thank you all for the great comments!

After seeing the first pics, I thought it was a beautiful mount. After seeing the next pics, I think we witnessed a miracle. How often do you get skins in that condition? Your work has always been impressive and it just went up another notch in my book.

Man I gotta get me a Hyena! and some lessons lol.

Great job Dennis, looks awesome!

We get this all the time... skins from africa we in the industry call "Africrap"
EVERYTHING from africa needs some kinda repair. Their are no perfect or near perfect skin from there.
You guy saw the White lions posted..one had a 4' long mache cut across it's nose and shot twice in the head with a .470

Sooo this is what that some things look like before and After.. Cell phone pics ....

More saves than Martin Brodeur eh? LOL

Dang Dennis if the quality of my brown bear rug turns out half as good as these mounts I am gonna be super excited. Nice work!!

Johnny, will do it the most cost efficient way. personal deliver or freight. If we have multiple safari's going to the east coast you pay from point point not the whole cost from Michigan. if that's cheaper than the crate and freight. I work everyday 10 - 12 hours 7 days a week for my income and know everyone else does also and I will make your hard earned dollars work in the most cost effective manner.
Certainly appreciate that. Look forward to working with you. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic work!

Hard to believe it's the same kudu! But on the other hand how do PH's allow their skinning staff to do such horrible work? If an outfitter here in the states did that he would get his ass whipped. Dennis what should we look for if we are able to be in the skinning room while they are working?

Dennis what's the deal with the eyes in the leopards on your post..Some are green others brown? Is that just personal preference ? I for one like the brown eyes.

Delivered to Oklahoma Sunday...

Dennis Since I m a novice to Africa, once my trophies are taken and brought to the taxidermist in Namibia before shipment to you what do I ask them to do? Clean/bleach or salt dry and split?
