Big Bore Addiction Group

it would be nice to see the 585 HE take off like that! but I doubt Mr. Hubel will ever put me on the pay roll, at this time im happy to help him for free (and maybe some extra brass). trying to sell the cartridge to various ammunition manufacturers at the SCI show was fun! I made a point of stopping at every ammunition booth in the building plus just about all the firearm booths. it actually turned out to be more work then I thought but it was fun so I didn't mind.

I would enjoy assisting with a booth at an SCI show! ive always been good at selling stuff especially when it comes to something im interested in. I don't think I have enough experience to try and sell hunts but selling guns or hunting supplies would be easy (and fun).

having said all that, im pretty much stuck in my current career (aircraft assembly mechanic). the pay is decent and its a reliable source of income at the moment. while id say selling firearms and firearm related supplies would be more fun, it just wouldn't pay well enough.

Matt,
I have resigned myself to living by this motto: " to jealous to pimp and to honest to steal so I guess I have to do this for a living! "Damn sure keeps ya out of the political arena.
Cheers,
Cody

I've had buffalo on the brain again lately. The old 550 CZ in .416 Rigby and I went out today to sling a few 400gr TSX into an empty pop bottle. I love that gun. Shooting it did not make the buffalo images go away. It will soon become necessary to legitimize the ownership of such a thing by using it to poke a hole in a big, nasty, black buffalo.

That is what it is intended for! Gotta go for it.

best at least take one buffalo just to make sure the gun is working properly! ;)

My buddy just dropped this off at my office for me. JD Jones is an evil mastermind! Lol. Love it.

Try that one in an 8 lb rifle!!!! :E Horrified:

Royal,
Perfect candidate for a Kimber Montana.

Funny how it makes the Rigby look dang near like a .22 LR sitting next to a 7.62....

Geez....

I was just thinking the same thing. I was like.... That .416 don't look to bad after all.

It says the recoil is brutal on a 115 pound rifle! Be one bad ass gun bearer to haul that bad boy around for you! Lol

950 JDJ video:

that is BIG rifle!!! but as stated, your gun bearer better be an olympic weight lifter! (no way in hell am i tryin to carry that thing around)

Hey Matt,

I'm surprised you aren't griping about the silly muzzle brake on the gun!!! :A Music:

That thing is a monster....

Very interesting!

I think we may have found what the kid that started the T-Rex thread was looking for. The way it rocked that big boy in the video Matt posted is enough for me to say wow!

the muzzle brake on that cannon would probably seriously injur who ever is sitting to your left and right at the range. your PH wouldnt have to worry because i dont think its possible to soulder fire that gun!

when guns become too heavy to carry i lose interest pretty fast. that 950 JDJ rifle is a novelty item at best, it might as well be made more powferul then mounted on a tripod or vehicle.

now one of those 4 bore doubles... count me in!
