Professional Hunter mauled by Lion

Jaco my prayers were sent for Reinhard,Glad to hear that he is out of harms way. John

Glad the long term prognosis is good.

Irony.......on Steve Scott's show (rerun) last night Reinhard was the PH. What are the odds of that.

Hopefully infection won't set in.

Still in my prayers.

Prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Jaco, quite disturbing to read of this unfortunate incident.

My best wishes to your friend for a full and speedy recovery and hopefully no lasting effects.

Paul.

Great news Jaco!

So glad to hear the news is good!

hope the rest of your mates recovery ,goes this well .jaco
best wishes .

These guys... The PH put themselves in a war zone each time they enter the big 5 play zone. Their life is on the line each time for the client...I respect that to the max .....my thoughts and prayers to be with you all that put your life there for the client.

Jaco--
So sorry to hear about this--please know that Reinhard, Caroline and you and all the Kwalata family are in our thoughts and prayers for a full speedy recovery--please keep us posted

Glad to hear he is on the road to recovery. I am sure getting back to hunting will speed things up!

Hi Jaco

I only got on this now but wow that is never something one wants to read or hear about.

Good luck to Reinhard I wish him a speedy recovery.

That is pretty sobering to say the least all of the best for you guy's.

Best Regards
Louis van Bergen

Just catching up on this thread. Do not know the man but I'm sure he is as professional as a professional hunter can be and I wish him a speedy recovery and return to his livelihood.

Jaco, Please let us know how he is doing.

The day this happened I was in contact with Jaco and I know he was conducting a buff hunt, so this may explain his absence from AH.

I did receive information today that Reinhard is recovering and will be fine. He is still in the hospital which I don't find surprising. I'm not a doctor, but I'm sure they will want to ensure there's no infection before discharging him.

Certainly glad he will recover. I know recovery can be a long road sometimes. Especially for a PH who would rather be out in the Bush doing what he loves to do.

Great news that he seems to be recovering. Our prayers are with him. Bruce

Just got on to this now, We are all thinking of Reinhard and i saw on facebook one of our friends are to thank for saving his life!!

But i will leave that story for you to tell!!
Just glad the man is ok and recovering well!!

All the best

Godspeed! Scary

He got out of theater 11:30 pm last night all went well and he will recover, I have not been able to speak to him myself obviously ;) but thanks to everyone here for your support and prayers it helped for sure!

We have a couple other friends that were vitally instrumental and will thank them in due time...

Once again thank you all AH members.
Glad to hear he's out of the woods..What a price to pay for guiding client's. We best not forget all their efforts. Prayers continue.

Wishing for a good recovery with the ability to regain his former self.

Always good when someone will recover.. Any life long lasting effects?

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
