This has not concerned me to much. It arrived in my email from airline company as a traveller alert for my upcoming trip.

South Africa: SA on High Alert for 11 Terrorists

The UN Security Council has warned South Africa to be on the lookout for 11 international terrorists who may decide to use the country as an operational base, The Times reported on Friday.

The 11 have links to al-Qaeda and Islamic State, the newspaper reported.

A proclamation in the Government Gazette this week noted that the group consisted of financiers, recruiters and logistical supporters of the terror groups.

The 11 men and women are from Norway, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq, reported The Times.

Senior politics professor at the University of the Free State Hussein Solomon reportedly told the newspaper South Africa had been used by global terror networks since the 1990s.

"Al-Qaeda has had a presence here since 1997," Solomon was quoted as saying.

"By 1995 there were five Hezbollah camps in South Africa. The list of the who's who of the terrorism zoo in South Africa goes on and on."

Our idiot in chief Odumbo said of ISIS some time back that they were the "Junior Varsity" team compared to Al-Qaeda We now see how that is going! Afraid these guys are much worse than just varmints, and must be taken seriously or at some point down the road, its going to get bloody serious, and much more difficult.

Not that this isn't a serious situation but I should hope it's not something I should loose sleep over considering I'm flying into RSA in June. Course we have a ton of those idiots here too considering our government's diligent efforts to secure our borders.

Yeah, just amazes me how the individual in the full burkha gets a pass to go on an airplane, because to do otherwise would be "profiling" and "racist", yet I have to always take off my shoes and belt and go through the scanner and have my pants nearly fall off in the name of "security"

You have no idea brother. We just got an order last week that we can no longer simply stop someone to just tell them to turn their headlights on because of racial profiling reporting. Soooo.... Now if someone say pulls out of a parking lot and obviously doesn't realize they don't have their headlights on we actually have to go through all the formalities and write a writen warning so we can document racial profiling statistics for the Feds. It really blew up after Furgeson worse than I've ever seen it over the last 13 years. That's just the tip of the iceberg. I could write a book on the ridiculousness that's coming down the pipe all in the name of political correctness.

I think it has to do with the old "gang initiation" thing (some call it an urban legend; others say it's for real); the idea was that gang members would drive around with potential new members with their headlights off.......when someone "flashed" them to tell them that they are driving without headlights, they would supposedly follow them and then the new initiates would have to kill them......that was what was required to gain acceptance into the gang.
Personally, I think it is just sheer stupidity, as I have seen several people driving w/o headlights here in MI, and most haven't a clue. I have tried to signal them that they are driving lampless, and have yet to be followed and killed.
However, I usually have my 9mm on my side at the time I try and signal them............................

It actually has to do with statistics. The Feds keep track of what race an officer is and what percentage of races the officer contacts on a daily basis. So if an officer is white ad 90% of his stops are with minority's than according to the statistics he is a racist. In reality it's rediculous. Officers ride beats in certain areas of town. Depending on the demographics of the area he/she works is the biggest factor of what percentage of a certain race the officer comes into contact every day. When I worked north the vast majority of people I came into contact with were black. That's because the north side of town is almost exclusively a black community. When I was east it was the same but with Hispanics because that's where the Hispanic population lives. Now I'm west, which has a completely different demographic. It's a numbers game but the Feds activity seek and target officers who in reality are just doing their job and work in minority neighborhoods. I was using the headlight thing as an example.

Crap like that happens for real. I've seen people killed for a whole lot less. I haven't dealt with the flashing headlight thing but have seen random killings as part of gang initiation. Same with rapes etc....
