TCI (Zimbabwe) at DSC

I've watched these creations for some time. They are very creative in all aspects. Thanks for letting them know about the skinning of an animals for this, that is important, but if they already have a trophy skin especially life-size in the salt or in transit they still can be done perfectly. Those I have been in contact with me here will be getting a full description and instructions to use on your trips for the benefit of the PH's and skinners so they can see pictures of the skinning process we would like them to do for this. These can and are created from any single skin.

Being a World Champion Taxidermist and Creating Taxidermy Art for more then 42 years it's not rocket science. It takes skill, creativity and experience sewing skin for years. Combined with a creative mind full of concepts and designs.

Yes, you have to cut these skins differently to make the piece work for a Better seamless creation for those that can't hide seams. We daily create mounts that you can never see the seams , I mean literally you cannot see them. And as for multiple life-skins used? Not from the work that I have STUDIED for the last 6 months that has been shown and presented and produced ....

These can and are created by using the single skin off the animal. A small short dorsal on the back of the neck has to be used for a typical head cut behind to remove the skull. And then a socked out leg for the front with no incision. Depending on the size of the artwork you want as least 1/2 of the animal. Larger concepts would be full skin. For those in the US that know anything about trappers and trapping for the fur industry you simply have the game Case Skinned from the back legs for seamless medium ( the skin) to start with.
I pulled a ROAN out today and started it. It's Going to be very cool looking and outstanding when the presentation is complete.

I wish I took a picture while at the DSC but I thought the giraffe was the best of the bunch. One of the better presentations for a giraffe that I have seen as far as taxidermy goes.

The thing I loved about the giraffe is I could also see it looking great on a wall with it being rotated 90 degrees.

I dig the giraffe and waterbuck. As a matter of fact if one of my group ever kills another waterbuck this is proally what I'll do with it. As a whole I feel it is beautiful artwork. Very innovative but not really my cup o tea.

A little unfinished project this week. Always wanted to do one of these "Toiles" as Cyan calls them, so.......
I broke out a Zebra shoulder cape this week, ( I passed on the roan, his skin was way to good to use for one of these).
I used a typical shoulder cape that you get back from africa as a cape for mount only, No full skin is needed.
Now this aint finished at all yet.
Lots of extra's yet to add to my " Art of the African Zebra " to make this complete. But if anyone wants one I can do it with just one regular shoulder cape from your trophy.

This is in the drying stage and is not finished by any means yet. Thats will take 2 weeks to dry.

Will be sure to have the boss take a look. Might convince her she needs to take a Zebra!

I recognized these at SCI and after seeing this thread again that Giraffe is interesting.

Creative idea with the continental motif Dennis. Somebody with a big wall will be all over that.

can you get a picture from the side and what would one like this run cost wise.

48" by 48"....when I get it totally done this will be stunning....more to come of this one.
Still working on pricing this Bill. Will have a cost when I finish this first one.

will your way say on a kudu need to lose one of the horns like the stuff that tci did. I would like to see a side view to see how thick the face area is.

Bill. I have been workijng on the kudu idea also and I CAN keep both horns His face will be more 45 our off the wall.

More of the side view, 1/2 head , zebra about 6-7" total depth

That looks very good and I like the depth. It drove me crazy to only see one horn on that kudu.LOL Like half a trophy but the waterbuck had both. Seemed weird to me really like they did not think it through.

I am having my giraffe done as a shoulder mount and now thinking of letting the kid take one. I would not have enough room for two shoulder mounts but done like this I could get his giraffe done to.

Okay . Give me 4-6 weeks and I'll put up a Kudu for you for you to see one of those with 2 horns....

great can not wait to see it I think this will be a trend you just may see take off. I already thought taxidermy was art but now it will hang and look like a painting that may open a whole new area for you.

By next week everyone will be doing them now.......LOL
