. so she called me in and said look what finn says is daddys water while her friends were .......so i said to him "ok finn what is mummys water?" , so he dissapeared behind the bar and went into the fridge and proudly walked out holding a bottle of champagne and said "this is mummys water"...... now that was humour!!!
You know it's a trophy s&%t, when you walk out of the bush with a chunk of shirt cut off and missing or one less sock.
In all seriousness, and as I have not been to Africa yet, moose is probably the closest to what was described in the OP for me. I was fortunate to have been trained by a group of guys who may drive to an area but then its on foot into the bush. Basically the truck is a mobile rest stop/supply centre but the hunting takes place on foot. However, I do see lots of people patrolling up and down the logging roads on their ATVs looking for moose. If I had been trained by the guys who just drive around I probably would not hold moose hunting in such high regard. When I go to Africa (I hope) next year 
I would not want to drive as much as was described in the OP, that is for sure.
In Texas yes, in Saudi Arabia it's highly frowned upon by the locals.
