Got some bad news from one of our own from the site

A quick search tells me that Paypal works in RSA so that would probably be the way to go if he already has an account.
 
Bossie, I m so sorry to hear about your situation. We just spoke recently about your desire for a leopard hunt with the folks I am hunting with. I wish I was there to lend a hand. Godspeed. I know it can be hard but just be grateful no one was injured. All the best.

Thank you Jerome and I think we should help one of are own from the site.

I am not sure if he has a paypal account or not. I do know he only has his cell phone so maybe hard to set up but I will pass the info on to him and find out.

Gofundme is legit, but the fees are also 7.9%.... Paypal is cheaper, but the cheapest is still likely to be just writing a good old fashioned check. We might want to think about a collection point/person and then pooling the money. This would also allow anyone who wanted to remain anonymous. As long as the collection person has paypal anyone who wanted could still pay that way.

Just a thought.... I'll be happy to help however I can.

I was thinking the same thing would rather not pay all those crazy fees and get the money right to him. Collect the money and then just wire it over direct to his account. Royal if your up for it and others don't mind I am good with you collecting the funds .

I hope to hear back from bossie and see if he has paypal or not.

After I hear back we can take the next step and start doing something.

I do want to thank everyone offering to help. Great to see hunters supporting other hunters like this in a time of need.

Real sorry to hear about that. I gather a tornado is relatively rare in RSA.
 
Many prayers. Went through a hurricane a few years back can be a hard time when your life is literally turned upside down. Good luck

I got a message from Bossie that they at least found a place to sleep. I think they need a good nights sleep and gather their tnoughts..... Royal stay in touch.

I asked him for wiring info but he did not provide it... I think he was just glad to find foodcand shelter for his family this first night. He indicated his wife will check what is needed for the family and some neighbors are helping with trucks and labor.

Bossie also said they are fine as well as the animals. He thanked the Lord several times for keeping them safe.
