I have a confession to make. I've been a PL (Professional Lurker) at AH for some time. I'm Canadian, so I feel compelled to apologize for this. With my new found status as an AH member and my first AH posting comes considerable relief.
To say that AH has been a wealth of information and instrumental in planning my first African hunting trip in May 2015 (during the new moon) to Kowas Safari in Namibia (plains game hunt with a side trip to Etosha) doesn't do AH justice. A sincere thank-you to AH and its dedicated posting members.
To date, I've experienced the adventure of 9 guided hunts in North America (caribou, wolf, moose, black bear, white tail, etc.). As this hunt will be my first on the African Continent, I'm looking forward to providing a detailed report on my return. My goal is to pay forward the debt of gratitude owed on account of AH and its members.
I'm feeling the excitement that I presume each of you felt intensely before departing on your first African hunt. I can't sleep at night. I'm not kidding. Insomnia set in the same time I started reading the likes of Ruark, Capstick and member postings on AH before calling it a night.
In more ways than one, I'm officially signed up. With my first posting behind me, I'm looking forward to meeting some of you at the DSC dinner at Texas Land and Cattle in Dallas on Jan 17th.
