South African authorities have cracked down on the rhino poaching trade
Game rangers have killed three poachers in the past week during an escalation of armed incursions into South Africa's flagship wildlife reserve, where hundreds of rhinos have been killed for their horns this year.

Paul Daphne, a spokesman for South Africa's national parks service, said poaching activity in Kruger National Park has traditionally increased in November and December before tapering off around the year-end period.

Some rangers refer to this phenomenon as "Christmas shopping" by poachers.

The parks service says a total of three poachers were killed in a shootout on Monday and two separate firefights on Thursday.

Three poachers were wounded and arrested in another confrontation on Wednesday.

Many poachers cross into the Kruger park from neighbouring Mozambique.

Dear Kruger Park Rangers,

We love you guys !

Stay safe,
Velo Dog.

"We should all feel bad and shed a few tears", said no one at the scenes of the poachers demise.

Kill them all and let God sort them out.

Good News

Where can I sign up for that hunt. And what are the trophy fees on poachers. :P Gangster:

Mmmmm, head or shoulder mounts:sneaky: Well done boys(y)
I'm thinking heads on fence posts. Wouldn't take too long for the birds and bugs to get 'em cleaned up like a nice euro mount :sneaky:
Great job guys! Stay safe and keep up the good work (y)

Finally the good guys win one, hats off to them!!!

Now if we could only hear this kind of news every week, we might start to make some headway. Especially if we could get a couple of those smuggling the ill gotten gains.... Bruce

Whack 'em and stack 'em.

Yea right on the Moz border! Fair and clear warning.

On our recent trip we met a guy who was applying for a job with a security company doing anti poaching patrols in Kruger.... I wished him good luck in getting the job and his comment was "hopefully we can kill some of these guys." And he said it very calmly in a matter of fact kind of way.

When I asked more questions, he commented that the poaching rings are so broad based and well connected that even Doctors and Lawyers are involved.... And lot of wealthy business people into it.

Might need to take a few alive and waterboard them?

Bravo....I wish they could take out 10 a day. Then ship them to ASIA instead of rhino horn.
