Hey Jeff! I know you've been running around the bush having a blast. Why don't you give the less fortunate a taste of what you've been up to? The least you can do is post a pic. of that soft bossed buff you shot;). :D

unless his shot another , a lot softer than his first , theres a report , in the hunting reports section.
would've put a link but don't know how
its titled my first buffalo hunt with spears

Yep that's the one.

Sorry Jeff, I thought you were holding out on all of us.

I don't know how I missed the report. I have to start working less and concentrate on AH more.

Well, this happened Thursday, just 2 days ago... that's all I'm sayin...

Haha, I figured you'd like that one!

That baboon was taken out of the biggest troop that I have ever seen as they came in to the water where I sat on my first day back with Bossie for a brief round 2 rematch in Limpopo with LBGS.

A baboon is a animal that i never thought of as one to take.

I sat many days and watched a lot of baboons, never thinking about shooting one...

However i may reconsider and maybe just look to take one just for the skull to add the skull to the skull lineup.

Ok, since Bob has put the guilt trip on me, lol
I'll take a minute out of this hectic hunting schedule to share a bit with you fellows.

Here is the Mtn Reedbuck that I shot 2 hours after I shot the baboon, from the same spot, with the same arrow.

Followed by a pic of my second Mtn Reedbuck, taken on the following day from the same place at almost the same time.

And yes, I was the crazed maniac who was pinned down with Bossie ( http://www.africahunting.com/threads/you-make-the-call.17175/ ) by several Red Duiker and Bushbuck (which the photos do no justice) not to mention the monkeys and crested guinea fowl threatening to bust us as we strained to glass the Red Duiker in the brush as they darted around like rats on acid while I struggled to focus on the intended quarry as the most beautiful Bushbuck you can imagine flirted with disaster by offering me every dream shot angle that you can think of...

This chaos lasted for about a half hour, but it seemed like forever! What a crazy bind to be in, but I'm not complaining!
