UN proposing Lead Ban Worldwide

It isn't for waterfowl hunting (note the sneaky "migratory species"). My source tells me they want lead remediation at "all" ranges. That will put almost all local ranges out of business and make it illegal to target shoot with lead ammo. Call and write your politicians. Sneaky bureaucrats and leftist politicians will sign on if they are not exposed. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance

Follow that link and click on material for conference. Do a little(lot) of reading and you will see that they would like to ban totally the use of lead ammunition in three years.

You don't hear the UN trying to ban lead sinkers for fishing. While genocide is committed time and time again, be it on a large or small scale, the UN stands around with their thumbs up their collective asses and dream of ways of controlling the world. They and their sanctions that don't work, are one of the biggest jokes in the history of the world.

@ biddleman, if you follow those links they bloody well do want to ban lead weights for fishermen also. I am not a fisherman but if memory serves me correctly we have had lead weights banned for some considerable time.
That's the EU for you. The use of lead is either banned outright or its use heavily restricted in a number of EU countries.

This like the UN Gun Marking scheme is nothing more than backdoor gun control. Drive up the costs and make complying with the regulations so onerous people give up hunting and shooting. The two most disingenuous reasons used by our enemies, public safety and the environment. Where the hell did they think the lead came from, outer space?

My blood started to boil so I thought it best to stop reading the article. I should of known better that they were trying to ban weights. Thanks for the info.

activist bureaucrats in the Canadian government have been slowly trying to ban lead sinkers. all because the most incompetent lab in the Canadian government found 5 loons died from lead poisoning. It appears that the 2500 that died from salmonella didn't make it into the statistical analysis.

the upside is US citizens have property rights enshrined. That sickening socialist Prime Minister Trudeau left it out of our Constitution so like Cuba and North Korea Canadians don't have the right to own property

My ancestors are from Austria and Germany, but who would ever consider them to be my "home countries"?

All Governments are corrupt, in every country on the planet - greedy bullies.
And, bullies will always push as far as their victims will allow them to push, because they love shoving people around and taking things away from them.
If these Global Bullies pass some law against the possession of lead bullets and lead fishing sinkers, my plan is to become an Outlaw by ignoring it.
If every person stands their ground, no Government will have the resources to put millions and millions of us in jail simultaneously, from sea to shining sea.
