Just got home from my SA Safari. 7 animals in 10 days. I have 1200 pictures to sort through, but I kept a log on the daily stuff so I will file a report as soon as I get settled in. What a blast!

I am leaving in 12 days. My question is if you got 1200 pictures. Did you get to take pictures when you were hunting? I want to get some great pictures as I am hunting. I am also planning on taking a photo tour one of the days when I am in SA. Let us know how things went in the next couple days. I will try to keep some kind of report as I am hunting so I can give a good report. What 7 trophies did you get on your trip?

get a couple of spare batteries for your camera and keep it in your pocket ,the whole trip , I even took mine to breakfast .
when travelling in the car it was on the dash or by my feet
when stalking it was in my pockets.
my photography sucks ,like a potty calf , but not having the camera ready sucks a whole lot worse .
 
Im tired of everyone else having to much fun while Im at work !@

Bugger the sleep , overated pastime .
Cant wait for another great hunting yarn .

When you post some photos could you show us some of scenery and acommodation .

I would recommend a shirt pocket sized camera for that. My cameras were both to big for that so pictures from me while hunting were hard to do.

Ive stayed in worse 5 star hotels .
 
Must have been a torturous stay!
 
We were in SA in May. We had nearly 3000 photos. I had a pocket camera that was… always in my pocket. I also had a SLR tha I used to take the wildlife photos in Addo National Park etc. My wife had a pocket camera also. Then the outfitter took hundreds of "grip and grin" photos. I still have a lot of editing to do. :)
 
Without trophy picks, it never happened!!

Enough of the teaser fodder, let's see that smile!!!
