USA: Tennessee Pig Hunt

Yep, that's where we are going. I did the. "due diligence" by sending a collated questionnaire with all the questions from all members of our group. You would have thought that we were going on safari!

You are unless you live next door Safari I beleive means to travel You guys have fun and tell us about it when you get back btw when is your hunt?

Our great adventure starts Saturday 22 November for 3-days. My buddies are after hogs, but my nutrition-conscious lovely slim wife made such a fuss about a freezer filled with hog until I showed her the benefits of elk meat. So, I am taking a cow elk for the meat; my chief buddy insists on seeing my bride's face when I show up with much more elk meat. We are already planning a wild game night at our church to use up some meat.

William, we seen numerous elk cows and a couple bulls while there. He has 3 different areas that they conduct hunts in. If you have any questions and want an unbias answer fire away.

BnC, was your experience as good as that of the original post? Is there anything that our group needs to know about the guides, techniques, facility, etc.?

William, chances are your guide will be Todd, he is a bit quiet until he gets to know you but will answer any questions you have and is an excellent guide.
Depending on where you hunt will dictate your technique. If your after hogs you will probably be across the main lodge although all 3 areas have hogs I was told.. You can either get dropped off at the top of the mountain and hunt your way down or spot and stalk from the bottom entrance.
My best advance is that if your buddies are after big hogs they gotta let the small ones pass by. Your buddies will see many different color hogs from black to almost white, just depends what they are after I guess. We did see elk in the area across from the lodge as well.

The lodging/meals are not fancy but most welcomed after being out in the woods. Sausage, biscuits, eggs for B-fast. Big lunch of various pasta and such. Dinner was chilli or the sort in a crocpot with desert and rolls.

Hope I gave a brief idea of what to expect and such. If you have any other questions let me know but all in all we enjoyed it and would do it again when the hog meat is gone.

Nathan, thanks so much for your information. The fact that you would return is the information that I am looking for.
