Juan,
What area are the hunts in?
Delta Grass, Bush, ?

How hot is it that time of year?

The hunting era is approximately 150 km north of Beira.
On the banks of the Zambezi river, its bush and a bit of reeds.

It gets hot up there in October and November I would say that it can probably go past 30 degrees celsius mid day. And It is humid.

This will be a hard hunt, but the rewards will be fantastic.

That is a great deal!

Now that sounds like fun! Is it 1x1...will each hunter have his own ph? How much is charter?

Don't you just love late season deals.

All the best in getting your hunts sold.

Jaun.........thanks for the post. What has the success rate been in this area for buffalo? Are most hunters getting a chance at a buff?.....regards......FWB

Juan,

What size buffalo are expected? Any hippo available?

I did the Selous, in November in 2010 and it can be warm. At Nights it was maybe in the high 70's, day temp worked up as the day wore on.

Great for C. Buffalo hunting. Some hot days you took a break a noon, as nothing was moving.:D
The weather can be dead still at this time and the bug can be relentless. (n) So Go prepared. With The hot still nights, i never slept under sheets or covers for my entire safari. If you are close to water you will have humidity.

The price is very attractive and I'm surprised no one has gobbled it up. Even with the air charter this is a great deal. (y)

I'm going to guess at the air part being about $5 to $8 K , remember that this will be split 2 ways. Make sure you take a case or 2 of your favorite brew in to camp. (y)

That was about the flight distance i had in Tanzania, an my charter cost was $5K in 2010 and now this cost will be $7,500 for 2014. :)

Good day guys.

Hope all are well.

Thank you for the replies and intrest.

Buffalo zize you can expect is from 38" to 42" hard boss bulls.
Most of the time we hunt the bull groups that hang around the Zambezi.

On a tipical 7 day hunt you will get a buff.

The reason we made this offer for 2 on 1 is to keep the costs down.

We can do 1 on 1 but then the costs will be $ 8000 per Buffalo.
Minimum 7 days and an extra $ 400 for road transfer.
A charter from Beira is available for around $ 1500 round trip.

The road transfer takes +/- 5 hours.

There is no plains game in the erea we do have on qouta:

The 4 buffalo.
One trophy elephant bull $20000.00 not exportable to the US.
Crock $ 3500 ( 12 feet plus )
No Hipo can be hunted in Mozambique no more.

We only have 4 weeks avalible this season to do these hunts.

Extra cost hunters sould no about:

Entry Visa $80
Firearm licenses $ 250
Gvoverment hunting licenses $ 250

Hope this help you guys a bit.

Guys this is a good deal in a unspoiled part of africa it will be hard Buffalo hunting but with great results, a hunt of a live time.

With all that is happining in Africa at the moment regarding hunting.
If it is a dream of yours to hunt Cape Buffalo jump at this one.

50/50chance that a deal like this will never come a round again.

Feel free to contact me.

Kind regards

Juan

Hi Juan. I just want to clarify. 2X1 is a 8 day hunt for $7500 or 1X1 is $8000 for 7 days plus a $400 road transfer fee. In the original post it specifies this is the day and camp fee. It seems to imply that the trophy fee is also included... Is that correct or not.
By the way I wondered about Nhoro Safaris. So I checked. Some good reports here on AH about them. Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Yes in both prices the trophy fee is included.

Go and have a look at the Nhoro Safaris website.

Nhoro is owned and operated by Gordon Stark, an American.
Gordon started hunting in Zim almost 20 years ago, he was extensively part of big game culling operations. With mentors like Fred Everett and Ian Nyschens, Gordon today is most probably one of the most experienced big game hunters in Africa.

I am privileged to hunt for him and Nhoro and learn from him.

Any more questions regarding the Buff feel free to contact me.

Kind regards

That`s an offer, damn! Especially when you can get away without the charter. 1x1 for 500 USD more, not a difficult choice. Good luck, seems awesome!

Good day guys.

Hope all are well.

You would not believe it if I tell you that not one person haze booked one of these hunts.

I think the potential hunters think that the deal is to cheap, and that there must be a catch. NO Catch.

A little background, the owner of the concession acquired the area in I think 2012 since then he built the camp on the Zambezi river.
Last year the first Buffalo in +/- 16 years was shot there. A big boy.
One Elephant was also shot.

Every year, very late season he offered the quota to us ( Nhoro Safaris ) being very late in the season there was never enough time to sell the hunts.

This year he gave us the quota early, he needs to sell the quota or stand a chance of loosing It.

We agreed that we will try and sell the hunts for him at the cheapest possible price.

This is a great deal and I hope we can sell them.

Quota:

2x1 Buffalo $ 7500.00 ( 4 bulls )
Elephant trophy Bull $ 20 000 ( not exportable to the US )
Crock $ 3500
And some of the best tiger fishing Africa haze to offer.

The only available dates are the last 10 days of October and the first 10 days of November.

If any one needs more info feel free to contact me.

Kind regards

There are indeed impressive cape buffalo herds in Coutada 10 (which I'm assuming is where this hunt will take place) -- I hunted cape buffalo with Marromeu Safaris in Coutada 10 early-to-mid November 2013 -- the heat/humidity was horrendous, the tsetse flies (through the wooded areas) ate us alive, and scorpions stung a couple of staffers in camp -- all-in-all it was a hard hunt -- but it was also a truly tremendous experience -- far beyond anything I could have imagined or hoped for -- for the price stated I say grab this deal -- I probably would but I need to let the piggy bank fatten another year before I return

Hello Juan,
I saw your website and it seems you also hunt coutada 10 with Marromeu Safaris.
Is this offered hunt in coutada 10 because if it is i will jump on it right now although i thought they were fully booked for the season and most of the next one ?
Thanks and best of luck.

How many buff hunters could you accomadate at once? Also can these be bow hunted or rifle only?

Thank You,
Bobby

Good day guys.

Hope all are well.

This hunt is for rifle only. We can accommodate 2 hunters at a time.

Yes we do hunt coutada 10 but this is a different area. On the banks of the Zambezi river.

Kind regards

That is a great offer for Buff. What was the reason for the jump in price for the Croc that's enough to make it a 1x1 hunt. Great offer anyways wish I could jump on it.
