Has anyone used Rudy the house taxidermist for Kubusi? What is quality like ?

"House" Taxidermist? Help me out with that concept.

The taxidermist that they have on sight at hunting camp emailed me some pics that looked pretty good but wanted to hear from somebody that actually used them and how they look several years down road?

Ok, thought that was it. Just making sure.

Sorry, I can't help with a direct answer.

They give you some references for the taxidermy?
How long have they been at it?
Get some close up pictures. Last bunch of customers items for sure.
Where did he work before?

I was hunting there last week - Kubusi Williamson's taxidermy facilities are over on the Glen Boyd Estate. The quality looks really good - I'll try to post some pictures in a minute, but I had some skins & a skull mount done by them last year & was delighted with the results

Do they have a photo album of different poses they have done previously or do you already need to know what you want for the most part before you leave? James emailed me some photos as well but pictures can be misleading sometimes just hate to make hasty decision last minute.

I don't know if they have an album of different poses, but its certainly worth thinking about whether for example you want a shoulder mount facing left, right or just straight forward

I hunted there last May, I did not use him myself (using Orion Taxidermy here in Moose Jaw). I know of people who have had work done there & were happy with the work.

With the rules on getting stuff back in to Canada it may be worth it to really look into it.
