WANTED: Barbary Sheep / Aoudad Hunt South Africa

Guys I find it odd .... Jeff spesifically asked for South Africa and even after many different suggestions he explained why . ...... Why do you not respect what he asked and help him in his quest if you can instead of telling him to go somewhere else ....

Seriously??? If I offended you I'm sorry. However, I was simply giving a guy from over here a plan B, that had crappt experience hunting them there. is that so offensive?

Not at all .... Nobody will ever offend me :peace: .... My skin is to thick ... Maybe check the thread from the beginning ....,

Do they require a special permit to export from RSA?

I believe Jeff wanted to incorporate this into his African trip as stated in his second post... Possibly after a Namibian trip... Hence his direct request to hunt the mentioned species in South Africa..

Some good outfitters in Roy Wormald as well as Abrie Arlow..

My best always

Don't get me wrong, I had a great hunt in Texas on free range rams , just thinking of doing something different.

There is a local outfitter that has taken numerous Barbary with both rifle and bow hunters, he is the undeniable expert on these species (as with many other exotics in SA) and is definitely the guy you should talk to. He hunts the premier locations and have taken numerous Barbary over 30".

His details are as follows:

Abrie Arlow

Abrie is excellent. I hunted with him on my first hunt in South Africa. Very professional and an all around great guy. My wife and I are planning to return to South Africa and hunt with him again in May of 2015. PM me if you have any questions about him. I have no problem referring him to anyone. The below thread speaks for its self....

You will not make a mistake with Abrie, he is a caracter and an all over good fellow, he knows his sheep like the back of his hand and he will find you a big one...

Jeff feel free to contact me.

I breed these sheep in South Africa. I have a long list of farms that has them. Also a list of free-range sheep. The drawback of sheep is that they take long to reach good trophy quality. Up to 12 years for some. The last mentioned makes it hard to find very good sheep. But as Engee said, if it is a monster u want speak to Abrie. I have done two sheep hunts with him. The photo is of my big boy Titan. He is 151.5 on SCI and still breeding very well. He is 15 years young!
