Anybody I just need 2 or 3 boxes. I have the plastic box but on a hunt in New Zealand the ticket agent said I had to have factory boxes. I showed her the tsa paper I had printed out that says you can use a case made for ammunition that keeps the shells separated. But she dint care she was in charge and what she wanted was all that mattered. After a half hour of arguing with her another agent steped in said it was ok. So it is just easier to have factory box so they can see all the details.
Can you use .300 win mag boxes? I don't know if that would just confuse them but most non hunters wouldn't know the difference. If you want a couple I have some .300 win mag boxes.
The one time I took a firearm and ammo to NZ it was in Factory boxes. The Kiwis are pretty clued up to shooting and hunting (ie friendly) so they would know the difference.
I always use factory boxes and factory head stamped brass. It saves confusion, even when not necessary.
