My wife and I booked a hunt with Kilombero North Safaris in Tanzania. Have hunted all my life but never been to Africa. Joined this forum to learn more about hunting Africa.
Thanks

Thats where I got my start. Outside of Arusha towards Mto-Wa-Mbu, same general area that Ruark hunted and where the movie Hatari was filmed. Classic safari country.

Hi and welcome, you sure dont mess around when you start something!

Sounds like a great adventure. Welcome to AH to yet another Albertan.

Welcome to AH, Jim !

Our hunt starts on July 6 and is 16 day hunt. Very excited.

My wife really wants to hunt Leopard and Zebra. We can also hunt 3 buffalo between us and I hope to go after hippo and crocodile. Plains game doesn't really interest me but I'm sure we will change our mind once we are over there.
Jim

You'll need bait for that Leopard so you had better help with some plains game. Just to be helpful.

She will work for that Leopard.

Buffalo will be fun. Hope you see some dandy's and get to track them in the thick stuff.

Hippo quick and wait for those Crocs to investigate. Shoot straight.

Take lots of pictures.

Check what plains game are available, seriously you might really regret passing on some of rare ones.

I totally agree with enysse.

And welcome to the forum :)
Looking forward to your hunting report and other posts.
