SOUTH AFRICA: Shingani - Scam Outfitter

I too am curious, and wish more information was made available. It would have been a good idea for the OP to state his case more clearly, but some of the posts made by people here have probably made the OP decide that it was not worth it to continue with this group. No one here knows where...

SOUTH AFRICA: Shingani - Scam Outfitter

I can certainly understand why the OP does not feel the need to elaborate or continue a discussion, but it is odd that the outfitter chose not to respond.

What is the worst rifle you have ever owned?

My worst rifle was a Savage bolt rifle that fired decent (not great) groups but did not eject fired cases on any regular basis. Even a gunsmith couldn't get it to be reliable. Cheaply made and rough. The "accutrigger" functioned OK, but I did not like it at all.

SOUTH AFRICA: Shingani - Scam Outfitter

I can not imagine that the OP had any reason for posting other than to give their honest opinion and observations. He is well justified for not giving out his name, rank, and serial number on the internet. He has no obligation to give personal details. Do not be too quick to cast aspersions...

    Learning to shoot a 375 H&H

Load up some light loads for practice and do not spend much time shooting from the bench. I am not a fan of the Lead Sled. Your .375 will not feel bad at all if you practice from field positions (sticks, off-hand, etc.).

    BRNO 602

"Does anyone actually have first hand experience (or even second hand) with a push feed action d.g. rifle not performing properly when needed?" Yes. I jammed up a M700 by short stroking it. It did not end up as a problem because the first shot was good, but it took several seconds to...

    375 Ruger vs 375 H&H

I have had rifles in both .375 cartridges and do not see much difference between them except for the better availability of loaded ammo for the H&H and the better case design of the Ruger. The Ruger ammo is getting much easier to find. No offense to the CZ fans intended, but I don't like the...

    416 Weatherby/Rigby Rifles

I like push feed actions for most of my shooting, but whenever life gets too exciting I find that crf is a very good thing.

The Weatherby does not have crf, does it?

    Binocular recommendations?

My favorites are Swarovski 8x30 SLC but I also have a pair of Leupold Gold Rings that I use quite a bit. The Leupolds are very nice.

    Scope on .375

Leupold I did end up putting the 2.5x8 Leupold on this rifle, and it seems like a very good combination.

    Scope on .375

Thanks I have a few 2.5x8 scopes on various .338s and a couple of M700 Mountain rifles, and like them very much for these purposes. I was going to put a 1.5-5 on this .375, but I think I will go with the 2.5x8.

    Scope on .375

What do you think about a Leupold scope 2.5x8 for a .375?

    .375 Ruger

I am not a big fan of the currennt "short-fat" cartridges, don't really care about action length, nor do I follow trends like a "sheep". I am not asking any questions about the excellent .375 H&H. I just want another crf .375 and would like to get some feedback about future availability...

    .375 Ruger

.375 Ruger ammo I am interested in finding out about ammo availablilty outside of the U.S., and if anyone has any insight into whether the .375 Ruger cartgidge will still be around in 10 or 20 years.
