    416 Rigby take-down

As research develops as per all of the input you guys has provided, the Parkwest "Continent" is leading the pack. That's simply based on a value for dollar basis. They seem of rather good quality for what I would consider a reasonable price compared to other options in this category. I want a...

    416 Rigby take-down

Rigby doesn't make one and neither does Heym, which would be my first choice in their express. I'm looking for something of a similar style and quality.

    416 Rigby take-down

Hello all, I'm extremely keen to either locate or have built a take-down "field grade" rifle in .416 Rigby. If anyone as any information of where I can find such a rarity or perhaps who to talk to about a build, I would greatly appreciate it. Warmest regards, Jake

No apologies needed, my friend. I prefer the direct and detailed information you've given here. It has help me to gain a better understanding of many things pertaining to these older rifles and I hope it helps others as well. Too many people these days will beat around a bush, be overly...

Thanks Bwana. That's exactly what I plan to do just as soon as I get her shooting properly. These old girls can be picky about their diet.

Again, I appreciate your taking the time to share wisdom and lay things out in a very clear manner. I just git off the phone with Mr. Owen and arraged to send him the rifle if the stuff from Superior doesn't work out. Ken is a very pleasant gentleman to speak with. I look forward to continuing...

That's a lot of very good information and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to share. Another question, would it be a viable solution to chose a modern load, such as Hornady or the like, and then have the rifle re-regulated ? In that scenario I would be able to use off the shelf ammo and...

I appreciate the insight. When I have more time to tinker with it this fall I will start doing development myself but until then I have to rely on a professional custom loader to get me something that will work for the season. Thanks again.

I will certainly follow that advice if no progress is made with Superior. Thank you for sharing.

How would one go about doing that ? Who would you recommend doing the work ?

Fell in love with a working girl

I shot her with some Federal Swift A-Frames at 25 and 50 yards off of a standing rest and this is what I got. It's the only fodder I have at the moment. The barrels are not crossing which I think is good news. I was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't set up my chronograph but I will next time...

I hope the provided photos help with the questions about a relining. I don't see any evidence of a sleeve job. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Thank you for the insight and I look forward to seeing how it all unfolds. If you don't mind, I'll shoot you a PM and continue a sidebar conversation? Cheers

Thank you. I'll definitely give updates at we go along. I had a box of Federal Swift A-Frames but although each barrel shot really well individually, the rifle didn't pair them well. I've got Superior loading me some stuff to try soon that should preform better as a whole.
