Hi S-3. I’ve sent you a Private message. I don’t stay far from them and visited on Wednesday to drop off an old pair of Vellies for a resole.
They are under new ownership with new energy.
Anything you’d like to know? I grew up with Swakop Vellies on my feet.
Excellent. I’ll check them out. Since posting my gunsmith suggested EAW mounts as well. Both are available locally so when we get closer to the time, I’ll way up the options.
Managed to get hold of a Leupold VX-6 2-12. A bit on the high end at 12x but the 2-9x range should work well for my...
Hi @IvW
Won’t the bases get in the way, or are they different to the Warne setup for k98 actions? I find that the Warne mounts slightly obscure my iron sight on my .308.
Thanks @Rell. My winchesters are topped with Warne mounts and rings and I did the same for the Mauser with QD to access the open sight. I want to do something similar for the BRNOs since the have that cool pop-up feature.

Looking forward to the build!
Good day all.
I've recently acquired a BRNO ZKK602 action after unsuccessfully trying to source a pre '64 action for an upcoming .375 H&H build.
It is a later version without the pop-up peep sight and in a very good condition.
Not long after I managed to secure a 1972 pop up ZKK600 action...
Hi Okkie. I've imported quite a few Eberlestock goodies in the past, my latest, their RASR shooting rest and a Bandit Backpack arrived last week. The quality and functionality of their packs are outstanding.
Most shippers are hesitant to move anything with the word gun or shooting printed on...
I use my Rudy Project Rydons. Nice wrap-around shape and lens options for any situation. They also offer an insert for optical lenses behind the coloured lenses, but I prefer to pair them with contacts. They are my go-to shooting/motorcycling/hiking glasses.
Hi Dobber. What did you like about the picture you mention?
I’m generally drawn to authenticity or pics with a story behind them. Even though I’m a South African / Namibian meat hunter, I love classic Safari pics. I guess I’m an old man at heart.
Imagine what your audience would like.
