I wish I had a sling mount and peep. I shoot with contact lenses made to have my right eye focused on the front sight and left for distance, but shots beyond 75 yards or so take a lot of faith with that fat bead!

Nice! Mine has a nice fat shotgun butt which makes recoil negligible except on the bench. I was thinking mine was made in ‘02, but I now recall it was ‘’12.

I somehow missed this thread. Great to read stuff from other .405 Win fans. This year I added a sable to my .405 list which now includes kudu, gemsbok, nyala, black wildebeest, and giraffe. I absolutely love this old rifle and how hard it smacks them.
