Dangerous Game for a first Safari?

I broke western and did a 21 day in Zambia in -98. I wish I had did a smaller hunt the first time but I was afraid I wouldn't get back. I took Lion, leopard, buff, and plains game. I was like a kid in the candy store. PG and buff sound great for the first time. I am writing this sitting in the...

TANZANIA: Double Dugga Boy With Bullet Safaris!

I agree with all you said about Bullet Safaris. I was in this same camp last Sept. with Hilary as my P.H. They treated my daughter and I great. I also took two buff, both over 40 inches. Camp staff was also very good. Love hunting buff!

Why is Tanzania so expensive to hunt and is it worth it?

I hunted Tanzania last year with Nathan at Bullet Safaris. It was a great trip, after my luggage finally arrived. My daughter and I spent two days in Arusha just doing the tourist thing and never felt unsafe. Nathan runs a great camp. I added a second buff on my 10 day license for a $5,000 fee...

TANZANIA: Has Anyone Hunted With Robin Hurt?

I am sure Nathan with Bullet Safaris can answer all your questions. I just returned from a 10 day buffalo safari with Bullet Safaris in Tanzania and stayed in camp I believe was owned by Robin Hurt and leased by Bullet. Great camp and lots of game. Was able to take two very nice buff. Give...

    Greetings from Virginia

hello from a fellow Virginian and 69 also. I have a spring bear hunt in Alaska in May, Tanzania for buffalo in Sept. One advantage to being older, it's probably easier to afford these hunts. Hope you can still make an African safari before you give up hunting.

    The .416 Remington Magnum

disregard this post, I found another thread posted earlier on AH. It will keep me confused for a long time about which is best for DG.

    The .416 Remington Magnum

I shoot Barns TSX 350 gr. in my 416 Rem. Love the gun and it's very accurate. It did good job on buffalo, bear, etc.in the past. What are some opinion's on 350 vs 400 for dangerous game. I have brown bear in may and buffalo in Tanzania in Sept. coming up. Thanks

    TANZANIA: Heritage Safaris

to IvW I like your reply, what you said is very true. I shot my buffalo straight on at 75 yds, he hit the ground like a wet sack. I thought man, these buffalo were supposed to be tough. Well he got up after 3 of his buddies started to gore him and ran a mile before I could get another...

    Crocodile taxidermy

around $2500, did not have skull done, it exploded. Rug probably takes up more room than upright lifesize. I might add , of any game I have stalked,1/2 mile in mud above my ankles, being very nervous, then knowing I had a golf ball size target with no room for error at 125 yards, it certainly...

    Crocodile taxidermy

One of the main reasons for Croc rugs vs body mounts is cost. Price quote for my 12+ croc to mount upright like previous pictures was in range of 7-8 thousand, I went with the rug.

These boots are made for walking

I have tried all brands: Courtneys, Russell, Danner, Merrell, Vasque, etc. On my last trip to Cameroon, my ph had a pair of Lowa. He swore by them. I bought the Z6s in desert color and non gortex. They are the most comfortable boot I have ever wore. I have since bought same boot in gortex. I...
