Ruger THREE SEVEN FIVE- Grey Laminate/Stainless 20"

Mine wears the 2.5-8x36, sitting in Alaska Arms rings, great combination!

    My first 375

I like the 375 for when things don't go as planned. I killed a grizzly bear with my 300 Win Mag, if I were to hunt them again you can bet my 375 would get the nod.

    My first 375

Mine wears quick detach rings from Alaska Arms, they have been fantastic, I can pop the scope off and back on and it keeps zero. I have done this dozens of times.

    My first 375

Love mine! It is an older "Alaskan" model with the 23" barrel and laminated stock, it wears a Hogue stock now. It is a real tack driver with 270gr Hornady RN, 300gr Sierras, and 300gr Accubonds. Does quite well with cast bullets too.

    375 Bullet Velocity

I really wish Nosler would introduce a 270gr ETip bullet in 375 caliber. It has proven to be an excellent bullet in my 300 Win Mag at the 180gr weight, more accurate for than the Barnes TTSX bullets I've tried.

    375 Bullet Velocity

The old Hornady RN are indeed an accurate bullet, I have about 150 of them squirrel holed away, not sure why since I started using Nosler Accubonds, Partitions, and Sierra 300gr for hunting in North America. I should load up a box of the old Hornadys just for a day at the range. The DGX...

    375 Bullet Velocity

A goal I am working towards is finding a load that will print a 260-270gr bullet within an acceptable distance for the 300gr bullet. In reading some of the old African tales, it seems the British ammunition companies would offer several different bullets that printed close to the same point of...

    375 Bullet Velocity

A lot depends on the game being pursued, in NA for elk, a bull hit well at 300 yards with a 300gr bullet starting at 2450 tends to give up the ghost quickly. If you can well tolerate the recoil to put in the necessary practice for the longer shots, I personally hold nothing against it. I once...

    375 Bullet Velocity

I believe in bullet placement over velocity, took me a few years to really understand this and why maximum velocity isn't always best. Back in the 90s, my Uncle had a Browning A Bolt chambered in 375 H&H, 300gr bullets chronographed at 2450 from the 24" barrel, they sure did a number on elk...

    375 Bullet Velocity

Just curious what velocity everyone prefers for their 375? I have been shooting a 375 Ruger for about 8 years now, and I generally load 260gr Partitions to 2800fps, 270gr Hornady bullets to 2700fps, and bullets of the 300gr variety to 2600/2650 fps. I shoot a lot of cast bullets for fun trigger...

    Advise on semi auto shotgun

I have hunted with Remington semiautomatic shotguns for 4 decades, mostly my 1100 which has never let me down. I hunted a Remington Versamax for 3 years, softest shooting shotgun I have ever fired, even with 3.5" goose loads, but it is a bit heavy, and feels a bit bulky, I will be passing it on...

    "Whitetail" load for .375 Ruger

110 yards center group is 4 rounds of 285gr cast bullets with a cup point. Larger group to the right is the same bullet in sold form, needs some work.

    "Whitetail" load for .375 Ruger

The other, it can be a 290gr FN, a 285gr Cup Point, or a 275gr Hollow Point.

    "Whitetail" load for .375 Ruger

I have 2 cast bullets for my 375 Ruger, I powder coat both, and they shoot quite well. I use H4895 for both, and IMR 4320 for the bigger of the two. This one is a 345gr I helped design, the other is an NOE offering.
