I just returned from South Africa and flew SAA from Joburg to Windhoek. I used the orange mtm boxes, and I had to remove them on my way to namibia. They put them in seperate SAA bags and tagged them. On the return flight they allowed them to stay in my checked luggage.

Like most have said, you really need to research the outfitter. There can be some spectacular bargains, but i would be especially leary of hunts that don't list trophy fees. I may go to 3-4 banquets that have the same outfitters donating at each of them. Makes you wonder how they have afford it...
