I was a first time attendee at SCI in Vegas last year. Even though I was sick I enjoyed it. I'd like to go again. One thing I do realize though is that if you are going to look for a trip you need to time it so you have the funds and can commit to the hunt.

Nice looking rig. The Leupold will round it out nicely.

Forgot to post the details. Trip was in July 2011, Dip and Pack/Shipping took until 2-18-12, just got the mounts delivered Sunday. Besides being some really great mounts they are all paid for as well.

Hunted with them several years ago and had a decent enough time. Trip was not the most successful for me, and the weather was tough for calling so only a few of us were successful. Getting trophies back was tough. Make sure you alot enough time to get your hides stamped so you can take them...

I kept my pelican ammo boxes in my bags so I put TSA locks on them so they could inspect if they wanted to. Did not have any issues on either end. The foil pouches could be an issue as some TSA inspectors may react differently. I had a small bottle of hops taken in the states a few years...

Welcome Fellow Michigander. You will have a riot, and want to go back. Trust me you will shoot a "couple" of others. Be flexible on your list and take what Africa offers you. Plan and most of all have fun!

I brought back 1o trophies to the states a year ago. Dip and Pack was around $1,100, and shipping with clearances, trucking etc was right around 1,000. That was via Delta air freight to Chicago
