"Murder case" in CAR solved
I know this topic has been quite discussed in different forums and sites in the last month's but not enough light has been shed on it yet. Thus I'd like to kvote what I just worote in an e-mail to a friend of mine:
"Here things are now finally going well and we are out and working on totally busting the people who gave us all the trouble...! It is a long story but to make it short enough worth telling here, it was the (ex)justice minister of the country together with his brother (high official in bakouma) who finansed an illegal gold-mine to the south of our area border (so not inside our area). When it was starting to come out that they were behind this operation, something had to be done. The killing's was a perfect set up wehere everybody wanted somebody guilty and the justice minister was the perfect person to organise so that we became the "one".
Anyway, took me two and a half month to sort out the whole plot and finding who was behind who etc + finding all the evidence of this.
I finally got all what I needed and brought it to the president. The result is that the justice minister is today sacked and is as we speak locked up in the worst prison there is in CAR. A whole line of other involved high officials are beeing investigated as we speak.
So finally things start to go the way they should...but man it took some work to get this sorted out... And I am planning on making enough point this time so that the next justice minster understands to keep out of our reach... "
I thought it is fair for the CAR reputation to at least let everybody know that the right people are now locked up and it will not affect our future hunting seasons.
I will also use the opportunity to thank all our hunters, clients and friends who have been following us and keeping up, even through this tough time. It is because of people like you that we like working in this business! Thank you!
We are soon posting all new pictures from last season on our web site. Please surf by and have a look... there are some amazing trophies, including another monster 56 inch eland, taken in february this year
Great hunting to All!

Congratulations is hardly adequate Erik, I am glad this has finally been resolved for you.
The crooks are in jail.
Sadly, those who lost their lives as a result of these criminals greed leaves its lasting legacy or orphans and widows.
Good luck in your operation.
I look forward to the good news and positive stories.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!

Good news Erik. This had to be extremely hard on those involved.....Not sure how things work on the political side in CAR but it sure would be poetic justice if the Minister's and his brother's assets could be confiscated and distributed to the families of those that lost their lives for these greedy bastards.

Great news. It was very fortunate that someone as compassionate and resourceful as yourself was able to do the work of the police that were obviously crippled in their investigation by their boss. Sounds like a movie plot. Good job.
The journey is the reward.

I am really glad to hear that justice finally is done! Its a sign of improving political health in a country when this kind of things finally get sorted out. My thoughts go to the family of the victims. Looking forward to your contributes on the site Erik.

The life or death of any country begins and ends at the top politically. Contrast the President of the CAR and Mugabe in Zimbabwe.

gee Cliffy thanks for those reassuring words
Based upon the current chief executive of this country I am not necessarily encouraged
and to answer the next question, yes, I am not sure how but I do believe that Robert Mugabe and Barak Obama are somehow related
Not sure how but I have people on that and will keep you informed as developments warrant"He even took the gramophone on safari. Three rifles, provisions for a month and . . . . Mozart"

I am sure that at some Zim border crossing there is a billboard saying "OBAMA SLEPT HERE, TOO"
What he says and what he actually does are diametericly opposites but we are hijacking this thread. Sorry guys, I just couldn't resist.

Wonderful news that your back in the bush Erik! To be honest we weren't feeling so positive about this whole business but I'm impressed that at some level the system is working and the right thing has happened.
We've been watch the situation closely at home, first in the very vague news reports then on Emelie's blog. Good news mate.DaggaBoy Blog - Hunting Adventures of an ordinary bloke
