Rhino Anti Poaching Unit Help

these guys are fighting a battle that is on the balance point of winning or loosing
we have all seen the horrific stats
[eg. 111 rhino poached in KNP alone this year Jan - April 12!]

they need the following equipment urgently

This is what we are facing on a daily basis in South Africa, [photo's]
-we need solar panels to charge radio.s and cellphones in the bush,
-we need cell phones that can access internet,
- digital camera.s for crime scene photographs on the spot,
-10 x 50 binoculars,
-Military grade backpacks as the civilian ones we buy only last 3 months of daily patrolling, and military grade packs are no longer available,
-Camo t shirts,
-Camo day packs,
-we can get boots here,
-also need Camo ground sheets, size large

I asked Kevin for some more information and he responded quickly. Here is his response. (edited for clarity)

Private rhino owners, and their contracted security companies need assistance with kit, some private rhino owners cannot afford a security company APU and make use of volunteers, they need backpacks, day packs, binoculars. camo ground sheets, and solar panels to charge cell phones and radios.

Our Group is a private inative supplying intelligence to SanParks and organized crime unit, we have never had funding.
We need:
binoculars,
cellphones that can access internet,
solar panels,
220v invertors to charge cell phones in the field,
Ground to air radio's to have contact with aircraft and police airwing,
we need additional computer equipment,
flat screen monitors and
an external hard drive to back up our data.

The APU, in Kruger Park are now sorted with sponsorship, those government game reserves, fall under SanParks,
North West Parks Board are sorted with enough kit, and fundraising support from Primedia, and their various radio stations.
KZN Ezemvelo. the Kwazulu natal parks are sorted with kit, and funds raised under Project Rhino.
