Default All classifications of merchandise advisory

I received this message from my Customs Broker in Atlanta, GA and I am passing it along for the Members and Non-members For Your Info.

    Bobby,

This is FYI. Not sure if you planning any trips anytime soon.

Please share this with anyone you may know that imports Tropheys.

    Thank You

All classifications of merchandise are advisory only. We strongly recommend Importers file for a binding ruling for any products imported to insure accurate classifications. Below is the web address to file for a binding ruling on line.
Requirements for Electronic Ruling Requests - CBP.gov

The importer of record is responsible, per 19 USC 1484, for using reasonable care to enter, classify, and value merchandise and to provide other information enabling CBP to properly assess duties, collect accurate statistics, and determine whether other requirements are met.
If you are importer of record, payment to the broker will not relieve you of liability for customs charges (duties, taxes, or other debts owed Customs) in the event the charges are not paid by the broker. Therefore, if you pay by check, Customs charges may be paid with a separate check payable to the "U.S.
Customs Service" which will be delivered to Customs by the broker.
