Hey "ya'll", not that it's such big news, but just wanted to announce I have returned home from another buffalo hunting season in Northern Arnhemland and am looking forwards to catching up again with you all and going through seeing what I've missed here on Ah.com.

Hope you've all been behaved and productive in sorting out all of the worlds problems.

Hope everyone's in good health and that we are all filling calanders with hunting dates and plans.

Looking forward to catching up with you all.

    Best,

    PaulT.

    Best,

    PaulT.
Good to see you back Paul. I think a few hunting stories from Oz would be in order.

To recap what you've missed lately:

    1. You missed a recent posting by what seems to be a teenager who will sooner or later face a sentencing hearing posing as an anti-hunter who successfully trolled us managing strong bites including from yours truly.

    2. The 30-06 is an obsolete caliber proper only for very diminutive women.

    3. In all seriousness, it has been a very hard year for the African PH. A number of injured and killed PH's.

    4. It has been resolved that the hunting of white elephant is right out. (This must be said with a John Cleese accent).

    5. In spite of a hundred years or so of history and the availability of some extremely well engineered bullets, the .375H&H and .416 Rigby may in fact be marginal on buffalo or other DG.

    6. I have discovered that in recent months that I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder in the never ending pursuit of MOA groups in all of the various rifles in all of the various powders and projectiles available to today's handloader. Do you know any 12 step programs available through which I can find therapy and relief?

    7. In spite of a rather quiet bugling season, I was teased strongly by some very nice bull elk. And after having missed an easy 25 yard shot with my bow on a smaller bull................make that missed twice on the same smaller bull, I am all the more addicted to bow hunting the wapiti! Do you know any 12 step programs available through which I can find therapy and relief?

    8. Unfortunately the world's problems are not solved and it is my completely lacking any credibility opinion that my fellow Americans will re-elect our narcissist in chief. I hope I'm wrong and we will get a change (pun very much intended). Okay, my apologies to those who are supporters of Obama. Personally I don't think much of either choice we have this year.

In short life is pretty much the same around here with the AH community growing. Outside of the horrible year for the PH's, not much new. I don't know if you're coming to the U.S. for show season, but if you are and will be in Dallas, please stop by the HartzView Safaris booth to say hello.

Hey, to all of the above thanks for a very warm welcome back and Phil thanks for catching me up.

Seems like the "hot topics" got a good thrashing out in my absence (probably a good thing).

Requests for stories and pictures have been noted, please bare with me I still havn't totally un-packed and am still slowly making the progression from living in a tent with a King Brown snake residing under the floor to living in a modern house with all the amenities !

I see a few of you will be at D.S.C, if you find the time come see us in booth c471, I'll be 1/4share of a quad booth with some very interesting characters.

In short we had a fantastic season with some terrific hunters.
I am only now starting to collate all of the images, we have some awesome pictures. Please be patient with me.
Later on as I get time to right on these threads, for anyone interested, I'll right about my field testing of the .500 M.D.M Ultra mag I aquired earlier in the year as well as the extensive field testing of the C.E.B bullets.

    Cheers all for now,

    Paul.
