Greetings from Alaska

Greetings all,

My name is Jim and some of you may already know me as Frostbit on other forums. I signed on here a while ago but only lurked and haven't posted. I may be popping up a hunt report describing a recent hunt in Zambia that was a bit over the top.

Again, some of you may have already read it elsewhere. It took sometime to write so if I bring it here it will most likely be in a cut and paste form. Hopefully that is not against any rules.

I do have a question... the word wrap doesn't seem to work as I type. My sentence goes off behaind an advertising banner to the right. Am I doing something wrong?

Also in "preview" I see the words that went behind the banner repeated yet they are not repeated in the preview screen. Help!!!

I hope "over the top" was in a good way.

As for your typing going behind the banner, I have had the same issues. It is a bit of a pain, but to aviod it I downsize Internet explorer window before opening the reply window and then maximize Internet explorer after the reply window is open. Works every time.

Jim, Welcome to AH and everyone here will love you report of your hunt. "Over the top good" is the only way to describe it.

There will be a few issues when you cut and paste, but nothing you can not clean up in the preview screen.
Typically I find these to be quotation marks and also parenthesis other than that I have run into nothing.

I am not sure what you are running into with the wrap text. Wish I could answer that one for you.

You can edit your messages for a short time after posting.

You will have to load the pictures again. Here on AH you can load them into your personal gallery and then if you run into trouble Jerome, the owner, will be able to help if there are any issues. (He can access the gallery on the server.)

Go to the top of the screen after you have signed in.
Top right corner: "Settings" Click
Scroll down the page looking in the left column.
"General Settings" click

"Messaging and Notifications" Set it up how you like.

Depends on which side of the river he's on. I saw more across the river but I don't doubt there are some on Andrew's side. I think I got the notification thing figured out and posting pictures obviously. I'll try and get around to the hunt report transfer when I can.

I presume the best spot is the Zambia sub forum in hunt reports?

Check your settings, save them, then leave the site and sign in again.
After that you'll have to wait for J for help.

Welcome to AH Jim! Glad to have you with us and thank you again for spoiling us with your hunt report.

In regards to your first question, the word wrap should be working just fine and I am not quite sure what you are experiencing... What browser are you on?

The second question, I am sorry but I don't see it... Are you still experiencing that issue?
