G'day from Australia
Just a quick hello from Tamworth, NSW, Australia.

Have only hunted Africa 3 times and intend to do so many more.
Most of my hunting around here seems to be purely for meat. For myself and my pooch. Unfortunately that is all that time allows at the moment.
I hunt mainly with the old girls. Turn of the century English, German and Austrian. Basically early cartridge guns.
Enough about me, looking forward to looking around the forums and digesting as much as possible.

Welcome to AH! Please look around and feel free to comment on the conversations as well. You have been to Africa more than some. So I am sure you have had some great experiences as well. Of course we all love picture and stories as well!

Thanks for the friendly welcome.
Hunted in South Africa a couple of times and Namibia.
South Africa was the Limpopo and Eastern Cape. Namibia was up near Bushman commonland and down south near Karasburg (Karas region I think it's called).
I did get diddled on a Buff hunt in Zim in 2007 and lost a rather large deposit. But that's how it goes. Though as a result I have gone a bit cold on Buff.
Next? The goal is to do a Lion hunt in maybe Zambia. But I don't know when that will happen. Finances and all that.
My trips to Africa are usually for more than hunting. Usually hunt for 10 to 14 days and then spend another 6-8 weeks getting about and enjoying the country, people foods and beverages. Also thoroughly enjoy photography when I'm there.
