Hello All
Hello All,
My name is Matt I'm 32 and I live in Hertfordshire England with my beautiful girlfriend Roberta, I've stalked deer since I was 14 or so. I'm an ex gamekeeper, I have a National Diploma in game, deer, fishery and wildlife management, DSC L1 and a few other qualifications . I also love fishing and wildlife photography. I'm a non employed deer manager on a 2000+ acre farm with a lot of fallow and some muntjac. Looking forward to being on this site.
I've read a lot of African big game hunting books and fell in love with this Dark Continent, one day I'd love to walk on its bare earth.
All the best
Matt

What do you want to know?
Well I'm an ex gamekeeper so it was a small white lie, yes thats what I went to university to study but I'm no longer employed as a guide. But that might change as I'm very much at a cross roads in life at the moment.

OK Matt, so 'bs' ing aside, what else can you do that would get you into Africa to realise your dream?
What are you studying?
Ummmm good choice of non de plumes too. Nice guy but he was also a bit of a BS artist...just saying!

I'm not studying anything apart from my every day life surrounded by wildlife! At the moment Africa is not my dream its a thought for the future maybe but not a dream. I joined this forum because I love Africa and its wildlife though its not been the warmest of welcomes elsewhere on here!
Did you know Capstick well or is that a he said this she said that type of knowledge?

Actually knew him!
OK now that we've chewed a strip off a bit, here's the deal! You have made comments on other posts...like the Lion hunting one where you come across as a rather opinionated but ill informed young man.
You would do best to spend more time reading the posts and inquiring about things rather than making ill informed statements that get others hackles up unless of course that is your intention.
Without speaking for Jerome, this forum is a pleasant place to visit to 'shoot the breeze' and spend time yacking about hunting, fishing and the like. A lot like Mens Clubs of old (English!)....Arguing from a gentlemans' perspective is OK. A bit of banter is accepted as long as there's no trace of malice in it...opinions are like arseholes...everyone has one! So, my young friend, try and blend in with the 'boys' and you may learn a thing or two!
kind regards

Some/many parts of Limpopo are indeed malaria free, especially in winter months but If there's even one mosquito per square mile you ought to consider taking anti malarial treatment.......... Take it...
