Well that's what I am here to find out. Some customers of ours that live there are paying for us to hunt. I still have no clue where its going to be in So. Africa, or what we are going to be allowed to shoot. But I have been eye'n up the Gemsbuck or Kudu. Also wondering if my .308 is sufficient. Might go pick up a .300WM and start reloading that also! My .308 also weighs 13lbs. Not sure I want to lug that around all day.

Dont think I would either! Must be a match rifle to be that heavy. The cartridge is adequate but an '06 is a little better, though not that much. A .300 Win mag is a good choice especially if distances will be much over 200 yards. Decisions...

Welcome to the site cf7go. If you are worried about lugging that 13 lb rifle around make sure to drop that golden horseshoe too!
That would be great to have someone else pay for my safari. Just kidding, I couldn't resist.
I hope you have a great time and I can't wait to see some pictures.

Don't get your hopes up on the cheap end, quality hunts cost $$$$$! And the government is making sure they get their share before the outfitter can begin to try to make a profit.
