New to AH and the U.S.

Hi All

I just discovered AH, and wanted to introduce myself to existing members.

I recently moved to the U.S (Maine) but originally hail from Zimbabwe where I was a pro hunter & guide. I actually know one of your members from Zim (Quinn Kloppers). We hunted for an awesome outfit - Threeways Safaris - in the southeast lowveld of Zimbabwe. Quinn still hunts for them and I now represent the company here in the U.S.

Welcome to the site, great fun. I hunted Zim in '96 with Fountain Safaris run by the Greaves family, you may know of them. My PH was a chap by name of Mike Smith. He would be about 61 now. Do you know of any of these people? Going to Zim again this June to hunt with Touch Africa, sure you know of them.

Welcome Mzungu. Well you certainly landed in the Great outdoors! You are going to love Maine, Its my favorite playground. Lots of places to hunt and fish here and just spend some great time in the wilderness. When the sporting seasons are the slowest here, thats the best time to take a trip back over to Africa for a fix.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Yes sestoppelman, I do know of the Collett's although not in person. I've heard good things about them and it is a truly beautiful area of the country they are located in (southwest Zim). You'll have a great hunt without question!

Welcome! I am sure you will love this sight. Lots of great stuff to talk about. Welcome to the U.S. Maine is beautiful from what I hear. I will be spending a week there in Aug. Camping and eating lobster! Looking forward to reading your posts.
