    Default Hello from Cumming, Georgia

I'm new here, but have been "lurking" before. I'm eagerly planning my second safari to Botswana in 2012, and I hope it is the second of many. I'm hunting with Tholo Safaris and hope to take a big bull eland, along with other trophies.
Gert Van Der Walt, who posts here, was my ph on my first safari and I would highly recommend him if anyone is planning on hunting Namibia.

welcome Jriley, you will love it here. Georgia is very beautiful, except Ft. Benning, 13 weeks of hell, no love lost. The rest of the state is really nice though. Actually my second visit to Benning was not as bad, airborne was still a pain in the arse, but, not as bad as basic. Again welcome.

Thanks. I am pretty familiar with Ft. Benning. I wasn't in the army, but my hunting land is right next to Benning. I've sat in my stand many mornings and have had planes come right over my tree. That is a mosquito-filled, alligator, rattlesnake and hog infested part of the world. There are some nice deer and hogs in there though.

    Welcome aboard Jim.
We have got to get together again.
I have walked in the tracks of the elephant, heard the lion roar and met the buffalo on his terms. I shall never be the same.

    JIm,
Welcome to AH. I found my wife of thirty years in Waycross, GA. Her family never forgave her for marrying a Yankee from Maine.
Look forward to hearing your hunting report from Botswana.
