"A BIG HEY YALL" from South Texas
My name is James, just joined a few days ago and thought I would say HOWDY. I'm an Avid Whitetail hunter and trying to get over our Buck Season being over yesterday. I've been to South Africa a couple of times so I'm sure we'll be talking soon. JRH

Louis,
I hunted the Northern part of the Limpopo Province both times I was in Africa. My son and I just got back right before the World Cup. We will probably do something different in a couple of years.
Regards
JRH

Thanks for the welcome Bob. We didn't notice alot of the people because we just trying to get out of the country before everyone else got there. Our outfitter told us that the airport would be a madhouse when the soccer fans started arriving in full force. James

Hey Louis,
I know its been a couple of days but I thought I would drop you a line. My son Brett is 29 and my best huntin' buddy. He and my wife both were with me in 2008 and they both had a blast, my wife doesn't hunt but she went for the adventure. Brett and I have been hunting together for 20 years and we are getting pretty competitive. He hunts on our South Texas lease with us and we have a lot of fun.
Thanks for the interest, James

Hi JRH,
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing the photos. I agree, that is one magnificent Bushbuck. A lot of locals go their whole lives hunting in South Africa without ever seeing one like that.
Awesome stuff!

Welcome James
You should try Namibia for your next hunt, which will be a different experience to South Africa.

Thanks for posting this. It is a real fun read. I wonder if you can still shoot outside 30 minutes from their Mayfair location? Can you still buy a double rifle for 100 pounds? Can you...
