Greetings everyone from Southern Alberta
Hello fellow hunters and huntresses,
I've just found this website a couple of days ago and think it is just great, so I figured I would join and enjoy all the benefits and stories. I've been to Africa twice, once in "88 ( I borrowed the money while I was still in college to go and hunt Loliondo, Tanzania) and then again to RSA last year for 5 weeks (hunting for 2). They were both incredible experiences and I would recommend South Africa to anyone. Anyone who thinks hunting the private ranches here is easy is sadly mistaken. For some of the species, it was the toughest hunting I've ever done, but also the most rewarding. I'll be back.

Hi Vinny welcome and I must say it is good to hear someone saying good things about RSA and the hunting on Ranches here.

Hi Vinny, glad you joined the forum. Also got to say that I've really enjoyed hunting those big white-tails and mule deer up your way.

Thanks Jason. I'm about 100 miles to the east of Lethbridge. Although I have'nt hunted birds for many years, I wish you luck. Hopefully you'll get some decent weather. I was fortunate enough to draw an antelope tag for October.

I’m with you Vinny . . . I’ve nailed some nice ones but no real monsters yet either. But as you also said, we know they’re out there waiting . . . and that, my friend, is what keeps us coming back and smiling in those teeth rattling temperatures. Best wishes and good luck to you on getting that monster!

Karibu Vinny... post some of your Loliondo hunting photos please. That is one of the best areas in Tanzania and am sure you have some fine trophies from your hunt there. Cheers,

Jambo! I'll try. Back in those days there was no digital images so I'll have to try scanning some images and get them posted. Have a good one.
