Africa Hunting New Member
Hi I'm Carl and I'm new to this forum. I had few experiences in bird hunting but my dad will come to see us next month and he booked us (me & my younger brother) to go to Nicaragua for bird hunting since he had really great experience hunting there last year.
That's the reason why I join the forum to learn more about bird hunting, i know its difficult to learn all things in a month but I want to impress my dad.

Welcome Carl I hope you enjoy the site, while I am not a major league bird hunter either, I am sure there are guys on here that truly know what they are doing....
Enjoy and I hope you have an awesome trip.
My very best always...
PS are you mainly going for dove or a mix of ducks and some others?

..Carl, ask away and I'm sure the bird hunting guys will help where they can.
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted.

Thanks for warm welcome guys according to my research Nicaragua has fresh water lagoons perfect for native species of black bellied whistlers, pintails, blue-winged teal, white-winged doves and Giant Tarpon but duck and dove is the most abundant in the area.
thanks DOCMAN, yes I will throw away questions later I enjoy reading over the forum and seeing images of successful hunt. Very inspiring and I will sure love these league.

You can always to an advanced search on AH at Advanced Search
I would also suggest asking your dad a few more questions in regard to the bird hunting trip he booked for you guys... Find out also if the hunting outfit that you will be hunting with has a website. Further to that find out more about the country of Nicaragua and it's people and google bird hunting in Nicaragua.

Welcome to AH Carl! I'm willing to bet your dad will be impressed that you want to learn let him teach you what he knows there's no bigger pleasure then teaching your son one of your favorite sports. Just have fun and enjoy the time with your father its the memories that count.
Enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date.
