Anybody know a good Elk Hunting Outfitter in Utah?
I want to hunt Elk in Utah next fall or in 2014 since I have never hunted that state.
I know lots of good hunting outfitters in other states but know nobody in Utah.
Looking for suggestions from somebody that has hunted Elk in Utah with an outfitter they really liked.
Thanks in advance.

2 groups of friends (from Minnesota) went to Utah this fall -one in Mid to late September and one in mid-November. They used R and K Hunting and seem pretty happy with it. They came back with some pretty nice elk.
You can google "R and K Hunting" and you will find it.
I have never been elk hunting-I started thinking about checking into it a few days this fall with these friends' stories-but I decided pretty quickly to focus on an Africa hunt as that fits my bucket list better.

Mossback is who is one of the best. However this fall im booking with bucks and bulls on the goshute indian rez. I will most likely give up my velvet slot next year so if u want that slot u can pm me. However that hunt is pretty much for free range bulls over 400" so they arent cheap. Ive also used mossback and bto for san juan. However after hunting the dutton, beaver, and san juan units of utah ive decided that utah public hunts aren't for me. The locals that draw tags take hundreds of their personal friends and buddies and no matter where u go theres someone behind every tree. Every single hunt i went on was like this. I pulled a 385 bull off the dutton and the sheer number and pressure of public hunters made my hunt very dissapointing to say the least. That is the main reason i booked bucks and bulls indian reservation hunt this year. That place is pretty much a waiting list type hunt or invitation only so if your interested in a truly great hunt and experience let me know and i can set u up to take my velvet slot for next year. If it were me i would steer completely clear of utah public land hunts. The locals have really destroyed the hunt experience imho. Look towards new mexico, arizona, nevada, or wyoming. You will have a much better overall experience and thats a fact!

What you don't like every neighbor, cousin, brother, sister, friend and far off relation hunting with you on Public Land?
Just kidding you, I think it's terrible too.

TERMINATOR if all else fails keep Colorado in mind as well I have a hunt planned there for 2014 with one of our good pro staffers. They've got good elk.
Enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date.
