Manitoba Black Bear Hunt

Our bear hunts are conducted in southwestern Manitoba near a national park, an area that is well known amongst serious black bear hunters for producing big bears and Boone and Crockett heads come from our area every year. This is also a good area for colored bears and about 40% of the bears taken every year are color phase. The biggest bruin off of our baits for the 2012 season was 560 pounds and had a 21 ｾ inch skull. Smallest bear of the season was 310 pounds.

Our 5 day, 2x1 hunts are $3,500 US per person. Both spring and fall hunts are available. Several nearby lakes offer excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike and world class rainbow and brown trout. It is a small family run operation and my wife and I do all of the guiding. Combined, we have 55 years of guiding/outfitting experience.

Hunt Includes:

- services of an experienced guide
- meals, accommodations and transportation during the hunt
- field care and preparation of your trophy for transport
- applicable federal and provincial taxes
- Manitoba foreign resident black bear licence



Not Included:

- meals, accommodations or transportation before or after the hunt
- alcoholic beverages
- gratuities
- airport pickup/return from James Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg

We only have a couple of hunts available for fall 2013 and five for 2014. Our hunts are about shooting big bears, not just a bear. If you are serious about wanting a big one drop us a line.

We are offering a new package as a result of a number of hunter enquiries over the last year. There seems to be some who would like to come on our bear hunts but prefer to drive up in their motorhome or drag their big travel trailers along. They could then park on our farm and plug in and do their own thing for accommodations and some of their meals.

As a result of this we are now offering this alternative package for our bear hunts that is identical to our all inclusive package above, minus accommodations during your hunt, for $2,500 US per person. If you are interested in this type of an arrangement feel free to contact us for further information.

For those interested in a big black bear and an enjoyable hunt, give us a shout. We only have a couple of openings left in fall 2013 for September 8-14, a couple in spring 2014 for May 20-26, and 2015 is booking heavily as well with just a few openings left in the spring and fall.

To all............ sorry, I am not trying to bump my own thread. Unfortunately it does not allow you to go in and change anything on the original post and I wanted to advise of some changes for booking availability.

I am fully booked for 2014 now. I still have a couple of fall 2013 hunts available due to a couple of hunters having to back out (lost their jobs and I refunded their deposits) and they are at a really good time in the fall when you can expect lots of bear activity and nice weather. Also have a handful of openings left for 2015.
