From our outfitter

Our Grizzly Bear hunts take place on the North Side of the Brooks Range. Clients fly from Anchorage Alaska to Deadhorse Alaska. From Deadhorse they then get on a Charter flight to my base camp Kavik. This flight is Approximately $900 round trip per client. My base camp Kavik is a Bed & Breakfast. If weather delays the ability for us to take clients to their base camps they can either choose to get a room at Kavik, or clients can stay in a tent on Kavik grounds. I have made prior arrangements with Kavik B&B for all Grizzinator clients to get a special rate if the choose to book a room. Rooms are normally $175 per person per night..... Grizzinator clients get a special rate of $150 per person per night. The Kavik stay price includes showers, Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner, and a room. Weather in the Brooks Range plays a huge key role in flying in and out of locations. When clients book flights they should keep that in mind. We suggest that they book flights they don't have fees for changing flight arrangements! We will not be held responsible for any changes in flights or any hotel rooms that are required due to inability to fly or change in reservations. The AirTaxi bill will be taken care of the moment clients land in Kavik. When clients get to Kavik they sit down with me and fill out all necessary paperwork needed for the hunt. At this time I will sell and Tags & License to clients. We ask that clients bring cash, check, or credit card to make these payments. All Credit Card payments in the Brooks Range will have a 5% surcharge that will be applied to the full balance being charged!!!!!! Also all Caribou & Sheep trophy fees will be taken at this time by check or cash. I hold all trophy fee payments in camp. If the client kills the animal they paid the trophy fee toward I cash the check, if they are unsuccessful then I return the check back to the client voided. After all the paperwork is finished, then clients will get their gear together for the SuperCub flight to their base camp. When they get to their base camp the will find their guide, and the camp that they will call home for the duration of the hunt. The state of Alaska does not allow you to fly and hunt in the same day. You will camp out the night and will be able to hunt by 3AM the next day. Guides will cook breakfast every morning before heading out to glass or hunt. Clients are required to stay with their guide at all times. If a non-hunter accompanies on this hunt they are required to stay with the Guide as well. There will be a good chance that guides will run across Caribou while searching for a Grizzly. If clients see a mature bull and they have all the proper tags, we suggest they take the Caribou. Caribou will funnel through the areas!!! They do not just hang around!!!!! They are the type of animal you may see a 1,000 in a heard then the next day they are gone......... After clients have been successful with taking a mature Grizzly and they have a Sheep tag, or guides will then take them sheep hunting. After clients have tagged out they can either choose to stay in their base camp, or return to kavik and change their flight plans. It is very common that hunts do not take the full amount of days given!!!!! When Clients get back to Kavik they will finish all the closing paperwork of the hunt. Clients are responsible for all trophy transport if they choose to not use our transporter to Fairbanks $200. We offer transport of trophies to Fairbanks where we have a local taxidermist that clients can arrange shipment and prep of trophies. If clients choose to take their trophies or meat with them they must make all arrangements to do so beforehand!!!!!!!! Once all trophy care has been taken care of, clients will then prepare their things for the Charter Flight back to Deadhorse. Clients will pay the Airtaxi for their return flight before getting on the plane.
Grizzly Bear Hunt $16,000
Non-hunting guest $3,000
I allow clients to purchase wolf tags for $30 at no trophy fee on animal
Available add on as a Trophy fee "Not Taken at time of booking Grizzly"
Sheep $6,000
Caribou $3,000
Grizzly Sale Price if booked by the end of November $14,000.00
I only have 1 slot left Aug 8-20th 2013
If you have any question feel free to contact us!
Thanks,
Jana Jennen

Yes, I was referring to lead jacketed bullets. I learned some valuable information on my last two safaris...mainly don't take that quartering to shot or high shoulder shot with a soft boattail, even...
