Needing some help planning a safari hunt.
Next year i am going to be getting married. And i am trying to talk my fiance' into going on a safari for our honeymoon. But I Need to find somewhere
with a very nice lodge. As fancy as i can find, so maybe i can talk her into going. I am wanting to do a plains game hunt. Or if i can find one for the right price
possibly a Cape Buffalo.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Welcome to AH.
Read some hunt reports on here. You will find several Honeymoon expeditions.
My buddy got married at the Mvubu Lodge on the Pongola Game Reserve.
I am sure your bride would not mind this room.

I would suggest South Africa and Namibia for what you are after, there are many great lodges and hunting outfitters in these two countries and you should find something good without too much of a hassle.....
Good luck and enjoy!
My very best always.

Welcome to AH! I agree with the others but take a look at Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris as well.

hello everyone,
Thank you for all your blessings, I have been showing her all the places that yall have suggested, and that yall have sent me in PM's. She Really likes alot of them, but I told her how long the flight would be with all the transfers, and I do belive that is the deal breaker. She doesnt want to spend the first 30 hours we are married on an airplane. But i do apreciate all the information that you all have provided. We will deffinately be making the trip sooner than later. Its just not going to work out for our honeymoon. But once again thank you all for your time and information. I will still be checking up with the forum and reading on a regular basis, there is alot of good info on here, and some good people!
thank you

Show us some photo's of the bride..then we'll use them in brochure's..then you'll get sponsors..then she won't mind the long flight..!

I do not know where you are flying from to make it a 30 hour flight...
Most of the routes that i have taken are less than 24 hours...and that is taking flights from my airport to a over the pond flight...Seattle, Dulles, Atlanta and many on here use New York as a jump off point...even with routes though Europe it is less than 30 hours unless you stay a night and then go on the next day.
There are many very good places for you and your soon to be wife to go to to have a blast.
Good information is a better selling point than stretching the truth.

if you stop over in the uk and have rifles get in touch with PDQ Freight Ltd / Art Move . they will meet you at customs and store your rifles and return them to the airport at check in on departure. they will sort the paper work leaving you free to enjoy yourselves, just dont let her near the shops in the knightsbridge ,bond street or mayfair areas of london because you wont be able to afford any trophy fees (or anything else come to think of it) at all afterwards!!!

Some of the African flights go through Frankfurt. Might look at a couple of days there. Best of luck. Bruce
