Way out of my budget. But if the elephant is that big...that is a heck of price...meaning to anyone out there...a GREAT DEAL!

Hi Enysse
Thanks for your reply. Yes from what I understand from the operator there are some really nice tuskers in the area. I have heard that they took a 91 pounder two weeks ago so they are there.Bosman Mostert

I believe if anybody is going to Zim expecting to shoot a 75 pound elephant they will be sorely dissapointed.
Maybe NG8 in Botswana you could expect 75 pounds, just maybe.

I couldn't agree more. 75# is POSSIBLE in some areas of Zim but to advertise that weight as a reasonable expectation is just not realistic. I've been booking Zim for quite awhile in some of the best elephant areas there and I even have a pic of myself with 76x77 and 78x79 pounders but I will never tell a client to expect 75#. 50# plus is more reasonable.

Buyer Beware
Come on guys going through old hunts offered and seeing a hunt garanteeing 75lbs ele in Zim is a joke! One should automatically be wary when the area is discribed as "forrest"!!!. I would suspect that this may very well be an illegal hunt so buyer beware! Would strongly suggest if hunts are offered in Gwaai/ Matetsi areas that you confirm through SOAZ that these are legal hunts and do not involve anyone on the US banned list.

Guaranteeing a specific size of Elephant (especially that big) motivates caution in my little world!!!
Now, Buzz, You haven't heard of the "Great Forest" in Zim!

As suggested by all the doubts expressed without limiting the incredible nature of the deal, I would suggest seeking further information:

I just returned from Northwest South Africa, having collected 12 different plains species using my Model 70 in 375 H&H. For this trip I used handloads consisting of 75 gr of N150 under the 260 grain...
