Hi Engee,
Are you an outfitter, broker or a PH? Do you have a website? Are you a licensed PH in more than one country?
Thanks
Marc

Hi Marc,
I am the executive bowhunting editor for the African Outfitter magazine, licensed proffesional hunter and marketing agent. I don't get any commision nor do I work for any agency, I merely help advertise and sell hunts that certain Outfitters I have hunted with in the past and fully trust have to sell. If you want any more info on a particular hunt I help you as far as i have been informed and put you in touch with the particular outfitter whom is offering the particular hunt and/or package, then you take it from there.
All the best,

Mike,
Well first off, I prefer corresponding via mail with prospective clients as I have a better system at keeping, forwarding and replying emails than I have with the rather limited PM service on here. There is NO secrecy and TOTAL transparecy with all these offers, I cannot for the life of me see what your problem with this might be. I work in the field all day and don't sit in front of my computer in an airconditioned office all day, therefore PREFER recieving all questions via email as it is simpler and easier for me to answer them that way. A few forum members seem to have a hard time understanding this?
Is that ok with you?Elite Archery Pro Staff - Winners Choice Pro Staff - Muzzy Pro Staff - Tightspot Pro Staff - Victory Pro Staff

First of all this is Jerome's site and I enjoy it very much. If anybody does not like something on here they can get a refund and leave including me or voice their opinion in hope of changing it.
Second of all I am NOT a Moderator on this site. Only Jerome is. However I will question just about anything when I feel something is not right.
Why do we not review the rules for posting hunts.
For Great Deals
READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING in GREAT DEALS on Hunts Worldwide
Hunting outfitters, PHs and hunting consultants can promote their GREAT DEALS on hunts offered at a real discount; canceled hunts with forfeited deposits, short notice hunts or problem animal hunts.
All pertinent information and all costs MUST be included, plus BOTH the regular and discounted prices. Just including a link to a website and posting that further details are available there is NOT acceptable.
Posts not adhering to the rules for posting in this section will be deleted without notice.
Just a suggestion, including pictures to your posts adds a lot of value and interest for those viewing it.
Please no package hunts that are offered year round, brochures or advertising, this section is for REAL discounted hunts only. If you wish to promote a regularly priced hunt you can do so in the Hunts OFFERED or WANTED Worldwide section of the forum by clicking here.
For Regular Hunts
READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING in Hunts OFFERED or WANTED Worldwide
Hunting outfitters, PHs and hunting consultants can promote their regularly priced hunts here as well as hunters looking for a specific hunt or to sell or trade a hunt.
All pertinent information and all prices MUST be included.
Just including a link to a website and posting that further details are available there is NOT acceptable.
Posts not adhering to the rules for posting in this section will be deleted without notice.

All I am asking is that the rules of the forum are followed. Since you do not sit in an air conditioned office it seems as though it would make more sense to post all pertinent information instead of trying to answer emails.
On another note you state " I don't get any commision nor do I work for any agency, I merely help advertise and sell hunts that certain Outfitters I have hunted with in the past and fully trust have to sell.", but when I ask questions about the croc/buff hunt you cannot answer the basics because you have never been there. So which is it?
I was actually interested in the buff/croc hunt. It would have been a nice add on to my Zim hunt this year.
I am not trying to be personal about this, just would like to see everybody play by the rules posted.
Regards,

Listen Mike,
Go and pick a fight with someone else, if you are looking for another "freebie" hunt then I am sorry to dissapoint you, I merely relay what was sent to me by the various outfitters via email and text message. As to the area, no I have not hunted the exact area where the Buff / Croc combination hunt will take place I will only be heading up to this new consession on my own buffalo hunt in May this year, I have however hunted WITH the outfitters in question. Now, should Jerome feel that the information I have given is not sufficient then I will try and get more detailed info from the outfitter and post it, ass of now this is what I know and have kindly asked that should anyone want any more details that they should please send me an email which I can then simply forward to the outfitter and question. Something that only seems to be a problem to you?
Now as I stated at the head of this message, if you want to take part in a pissing contest or want to throw your weight around than I ask that you do it with someone else.Elite Archery Pro Staff - Winners Choice Pro Staff - Muzzy Pro Staff - Tightspot Pro Staff - Victory Pro Staff

Like I said this is not personal but I am trying to understand the "freebie" comment. I am in the oil and gas fabrication business so nobody has any reason to give me a hunt. I have paid full price for all of my hunts and will always do so. My website is for fun, there is no way to even contact me listed on it.
No pissing contest needed.
Good luck selling hunts.

Interesting little contest here.
What would be classified as a freebie hunt?
As far as I understand there is no such thing as a freebie it costs someone money whether it is the outfitter or client?
Ingozi surely you can’t blame people for asking you to post the name of the Outfitter?

Louis,
I have no problem whatsoever with what the question is, rather the manner in which it is asked. I cannot understand what the issue might be, if you are interested in the animal or can afford the hunt offered then email the person/outfitter advertising it, if not then stop asking as it is a waste of everyones time. I have no problem with emailing someone to enquire about the intricate details of a particular hunt, what would you do if you saw this same advertisement in a magazine? Emailed the editor to complain about a lack of info? Surely not, you email or call the person that placed the advert.
I stand by what I said, the info I give through on these threads is the precisely that which was sent to me, short and sweet, no more and no less. If you interested in the hunt and want more information, then send me an email. Something you, Mike, could have done a long time ago (like a great many other members on here) if you weren't to busy hijacking this thread and throwing your weight around.
This is the last I will post on this matter.Elite Archery Pro Staff - Winners Choice Pro Staff - Muzzy Pro Staff - Tightspot Pro Staff - Victory Pro Staff

Engee,
When I read your first post it left me with the impression that this hunt was Your hunt. You used the words "I HAVE" not contact me for the outfitter and or the PH. I was honestly interested.
I really enjoy this site and the discussions. There are many very knowledgeable people here and I have come to rely on there opinions as to rooting out a poor deal or something that may not be quite above board. I am not saying this is the case here, but I will say you have certainly made up my mind about you and people that are associated with you.
Your attack on Mike is way out of line. I find it hard to believe you are any kind of Executive. I am truly surprised to see you compare a magazine ad to a discussion forum, when you supposedly have experience there. I believe you should not mention any of the outfitters names or PH's that sent you emails because I for one will certainly never use them.
Please also consider the fact that when I first read your reply, I looked up African Outfitter Magazine and was ready to subscribe today. I am sure that you do not care and you will most likely attack me also, but I can assure you that I want nothing to do with a company that allows there Executive Bow hunting Editor to rant and attack fellow sportsmen in the manner you have shown.

Bushbuck,
I'm sorry you feel that way, even after I politely and accurately answered all your questions in the PM you sent me. I just don't take kindly to being called "shady" or that I'm trying to sell some "illegal" or "fishy" hunts. The joke is that I'm doing this FOR FREE, as a favour to a handfull of outfitters I have come to know over the years and who are, as a great many other outfitters, having a hard time with the recent recession.
Just for interest sake, the guy whi is offering the hunts is Abrie Arlow of Pronk Safaris, although I think he owns a computer he hardly ever uses it and almost never answers an email. He is however a great guy which goes above and beyond for his clients. I was just doing my best at helping the guy, although I'm really busy as well, therefore I asked that guys email me so I can answer all questions and send all relavent info along once I get home at night.
What do I get as thanks? A thread flaming me and a bunch of armchair experts whom don't know me from a bar of soap calling my integrity into question. So yes, I lost my temper, I appologize if that upset you.

You have me confused with someone else. We have not exchanged any PM's. You obviously do not have the temperament to handle any of these situations whether for free as you say or not. It may be best if you let your friends represent themselves. Most of all Your continued childish name calling is humorous. If it makes you feel better, I will print it out and hang it on my fridge for you.

I want to step in here because I just want to calm things down, I believe that the reason for all of this is my fault. Firstly I have been lax in enforcing the rules as they should have been and I believe that the term that was in the rules "all pertinent information" was vague and left up to interpretation. I hope that the new clarified rules will alleviate future problems of this nature.
