I don't know about this picture! The Elephant looks too much like the mount of the famous tusker "Ahmed"! He had the same long tusks, and died at an advanced old age, which gave him the sunken temples you see on this Elephant. And Ahmed he was mounted just the way he looked at his advanced age, sunken temples and all.

That is Ahmed, who died in 1974. His tusks and skeleton are on display at the Nairobi Museum.
